That is win.

4v4 is full of stupid people. That's why I can take 3 gold expansions b4 I build my core

3-person team decides to 4v4. 4th person cannon rushes on a 4player shared-base map. Rushes a Zerg, directly under the most direct overlord path one can take. He rages and flames our team in the eventual loss, easily attributable to his delay in tech, economy, and just plain stuff.
We went on to 3v3 as a premade for quite some time, winning frequently. But that game to start off reminded me of everything I dislike about random teams.

Only need one or two golds, the important thing is rushing the gas production in those games where you can get away with it... oh, and scouting the 2 base Terran who hasn't thrown out anything, chances are he's massing Thors.

Of course, the mass upgraded thors are unbeatable. This is because 4v4 usually consists of mass voids rays and mutalisks, but thor air splash kills them all.
That's why I usually rush every game if my team agrees; nothing beats 10 lots and 20 rines outside your base @ 5 min

I've beaten mass upgraded thors several times. But yeah, a lot of air power is used in 4v4s since ground suffers from the inherit disadvantage of not stacking for combat, limiting the number who can engage at any one time vs air units that can stack. Obviously Thors help negate this advantage.
Now... Mass Thor/Mass Sentry is unbeatable, lol.

It wasn’t my team but I just played a game with the noobest cats I ever saw. (best part is the ending!)
They rush as TP v P(me)Z (rhyme enough?). I didn’t scout it (my fault) and they own me but I make a new nexus at my allys natural, which they scan see. They then proceed to leave my tech buildings to mass for an attack on my ally instead of wiping me out. As my cyber core is still up I think what the hell, DT longshot and lets see what happens. With cannons I hold off until I get 3 DT’s as they spent their time attacking my teammate (killing him). I have no minerals so these 3 DT are it. What follows is an amusing game of me murdering his army as he runs to waste time for scans, which I run from. I eventually move into T base and start taking out the OC’s (instead of some static detection he decided to make a second OC), and to defend he scans and attacks with scv’s, which I one-shot. Once those and the OC are taken out I head to the Toss as they just start warping in a cannon. One cannon. I kill it and proceed to kill the forge. Right before it dies they squeeze out a cannon, which I kill. They both leave and we win with 6 supply worth of units!
What makes them so noob are: • No gas THE ENTIRE GAME even seeing the need for ob’s/ravens • The Toss made 2 gateways all game, 9 probes total, as in he made 3 probes • The T was better with workers and barracks but no gas meant only marines all game long • When I was busy killing their army and T instead of using his thousands of resources on detection (or probes for that matter) he continued making 2 zealots at a time out of the gateways, and when he made the initial cannon he had TWO THOUSAND MINERALS and only made one. If he spammed them maybe I couldn’t have killed them all in time… • While I was clearly all the way across the map they didn’t go and attack my remaining buildings to win the game
And now the best part, the noobiest of noob: why didn’t the Terran lift up his barracks and force a draw!!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!? So funny!

I know ^^^^ is long but it was so funny and felt so good to win that I wnated to post it, twas a pleasure to write!

In a 2v2 my partner was trying to micro a couple roaches when four lings run into hit base. While trying to a-move with his drones he instead attacks his hatch and micros his roaches until the drones killed his hatch despite the zergling nearly killing all his drones before he got it down.

i play with my real life friend a lot and we always play on skype, im a zerg player hes a terran player, and when ever i get my overlords clumped up in a huge group i send them to his mineral lines basically covering up his CC, he gets pissed and we start attacking each others armies and somehow still win the game, once in a while we get rolled over though

Every time a terran wants to lift off to the island in Lava Flow and mass battlecruisers. -_-"
Even worse when they ask "How do I load SVC into my command center" before trying Like my team mate last night. Who tried for 3 minutes before leaving the game with a floating command center.

Oh man, this stuff is great. I'm going to have to start playing some team games now.
|
just had another epic game. 6, thats right 6 supply depots, before anything else. no scvs, nothing. and the guy called me a noob for not building a wall
|
I was playing with a friend of mine who decided to go strait to ultras on a small 4 player map. Needless to say he was insta rushed and killed because he didn't build any defense at all.

I'm thinking this thread might increase with the latest matchmaking change. Seem to be consistently getting placed with players in the bronze league who have around 10 games played. (As opposed to 1-3k Diamond pre-patch).

Yeah i've noticed a change in the match ups. I was placed in a team of pure bronze last night (im plat 4v4) and we were evenly matched against a team of pure diamonds (2 were masters 1v1). Bloody BNET matchmaking
