It is also really good vs light. They have a 120 HP super unit called marauders that rape buildings and doesn't die to everything. Unless they do something drastic like giving them the D8 packs back they really have no purpose. And even then that puts the hellion in a weird position... agreed, reapers are gonna be so bad now we are going to have to start a petition against this change!

Why would that not be ok anymore now and then only the terran side nerfed ? I don't think you're seeing the entire picture. With Zerg's 6 pool the set of 3 lings do not originate from a proxy location but must travel from their base. In order for Protoss to do some form of proxy cheese they require a pylon to go down first, but it's ok if Terran can 6 proxy rax someone? This isn't BW and Blizzard need to take into account that you have access to MULEs soon after the early rax goes down, thereby somewhat negating the economy hit you took by building a stupidly fast rax. It isn't like 6 pool is some unbeatable strategy, with good scv micro you will beat the lings. How do you think other Zs or Ps hold off the 6 pool? Or if you really need to hide behind a wall you could just finish it with another depot before the lings arrive.

Yeah, but the difference is that you must have forcefield now in the early game if you're toss. Stalker/zealot really doesn't even come close to cutting it now. This is a huge change change in the early game PvZ dynamic. I didn't think it would be a big deal, but after having played a few games, it really is.

Anyway can't complain, even I as a P player find it depressing how thoroughly a big stalker/colossus ball demolished Zerg.

I like the thor change a lot, with this change they might actually not only see some play in TvP but there could even be good reason to research the 250mm sometimes which is kinda astonishing. Depot before racks requirement is stupid but i think that has been discussed enough. Although i like the void ray damage change i dont like the speed change at all. Speedrays were already a huge investment thanks to the horrendous cost of the fleet beacon and therefore there should be some quite significant gain as well. Iam not shure if the roach range buff might not be overdoing it, i mean from 3 to 4 range is huge, thats like colossi suddenly shooting with siege tank range. This allows much better concaves and even makes roach burrow play more viable since it is easier to get into a position where all roaches can shoot even when they have been massed. Well i would be suprised if zerg are not gonna be doing a lot better now, not that i think they were doing that bad since last patch in the first place (i feel that the tank nerf did quite a lot and a lot of zergs are only slowly realising it, even idra admitted it had bigger effects than he expected). At least not in the ZvT matchup although i admit that PvZ seemed kinda difficult at times. Although i do think a lot of zerg dont abuse the roach regen enough against psi storms, even right under a storm you can negate half its damage after all. (And if you get out it only takes 4 sec to get back to full life) We will see how it works out with the roach having a 4 range, reapers only got 0.5 range advantage now and since the speed wont come in play any time soon... im a zerg player and feeling bad for the reapers.

They should remove it and put in the diamondback, that unit was cool.

Can any protoss or zerg player tell me how to hold off zerg heavy air (and don't say phoenixes since they do next to no damage vs corrupter)

That said, i see this evening out matches alot. The only concern I have, is drops against protoss are the only way to match their late game army. (because its really impossible to fight it head on when its 200/200). I guess we will see! seems fairly reasonable to me tho edit. remove the reaper and give us the predator! i loved that unit.

Reapers never should have been in the game in the first place. They are a one time, one trick pony, reminiscent of poorly designed units from other poorly designed RTS games.
