Sure. Don't have any of the old ones I was working on as I deleted 0020 and went back to 0017, but I just chucked this one together for kicks ...

I started setting Final (at 120:0) as:

Queens 3
Zerglings 20
Metabolic Boost
Roaches 8
Bases 2
Lairs 1
Spine Crawlers 1
Spawning Pools 1

Left it for a while to see what it would come up with. When I stopped the program I decided I wanted an earlier lair so set the value in WP3 (at 7:30) to Lair 1 (left everything else at 0). I tend to work backwards like this from WP3 to WP0 so if I'm doing anything wrong just let me know.

The program updated a good few times over the next minute, said it had satisfied "Goal", never showed a break for the stats at WP3 and the lair kept spawning at around 7:56.

Note: I never let this run for long to optimise it, just long enough to get a respectable time for "Final" and then check that the program was repeatedly updating after I changed WP3. I also deleted all the history and tried the above using WP0 instead of WP3 and saw the same phenomenon.

Edit: Might be useful to know that I used the setting "Allow Overdroning", unticked Extractor Trick, unticked Pull/Push workers, ticked Always Pull/Push 3 (a preference when I decide to allow Pull/Pushing).

I find this program really awesome as a compsci major. Genetic algorithms are so cool :D

That's because 12 pool gives you an earlier queen and thus more drones after a while. It's weaker though if you have to defend vs. let's say a canon rush or a 6 pool since you'll have less drones at that time.

Got a kind of coolfun Hydra-drop build that gets you 4 hydras and the ability to drop with overlords in pretty good time, as well as a second hatch and a pretty decent econ. Enough money to start hydra range while the 4th hydra is building too.

Gimicky to be rushing for a drop for sure, but lings and hydras isn't a terrible defensive composition, and you've got your lair up. It's a fun alternative to the standard roach rush or muta/ling stuff. Surprises the hell out of people. Kind of abusive on scrap station, esp if you get the good spawn location. It includes a couple of lings and a spine crawler for early defense.

The BO is below. Didn't run this one for super optimization, only about 2 or 3 million games, can't remember. I don't actually do the second extractor trick, the difference in not doing it is supa minimal with that overlord building. My own inability to have perfect macro is a much bigger factor in not getting the drop out at the optimal time. Done right the 4th hydra pops right after the second overlord tech finishes. You have about 170 min and gas.

I was wondering if it would be possible to add the "hatchery trick" option to some buildings.
a.k.a. building a hatchery somewhere on the map, cancel it and use the remaining creep to build an unscouted building. It's especially useful when roach busting or baneling busting. It basicly difers from a normal building pattern because you need 300 mineral before building, and you lose 75 for cancelling the hatch.

I think this has been mentioned, but sometimes it gets stuck on certain threads with no way of moving off, and you need to either push it along with waypoints or restart it, no matter how many processors you choose. I ran it for 9 hours and it didnt find a superior build it had gotten previously in a few minutes, so it's cool that there is some skill to using it if you see something is fishy about the choices it makes for "optimization"

I think it would be nice to try and compile a matrix of comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of some notable combinations of hatch/pool timing, and assign it some kind of cumulative score showing how the absolute resource of time is being used

For example 13 pool 14 hatch vs 15 hatch 14 pool in terms of larvae, minerals, queen timing etc, although it starts getting pretty hard to compare pretty quick

I'll post if i find something worthwhile, ive been thinking about if forever, way before i found this, and the evo chamber helps a lot.

Sure. Don't have any of the old ones I was working on as I deleted 0020 and went back to 0017, but I just chucked this one together for kicks ...

I started setting Final (at 120:0) as:

Your computer will spawn tons more games and be more efficient if you lower the deadline as far as you can.

Man I leave the thread for a few days and suddenly we're up to v20?

Do you permit successful builds to combine sexually with unsuccessful ones? It's depressing when you're running multi-core and you've got 1 build that works and 7 that haven't worked out that they need to build a lair after 1,000,000 games, and some sexin' up might be just what they need.

Left it for a while to see what it would come up with. When I stopped the program I decided I wanted an earlier lair so set the value in WP3 (at 7:30) to Lair 1 (left everything else at 0). I tend to work backwards like this from WP3 to WP0 so if I'm doing anything wrong just let me know.

The program updated a good few times over the next minute, said it had satisfied "Goal", never showed a break for the stats at WP3 and the lair kept spawning at around 7:56.

Note: I never let this run for long to optimise it, just long enough to get a respectable time for "Final" and then check that the program was repeatedly updating after I changed WP3. I also deleted all the history and tried the above using WP0 instead of WP3 and saw the same phenomenon.

Edit: Might be useful to know that I used the setting "Allow Overdroning", unticked Extractor Trick, unticked Pull/Push workers, ticked Always Pull/Push 3 (a preference when I decide to allow Pull/Pushing).

Anyone else have this problem with V20?

My start / stop buttons are hidden unless I maximize the page! I never had this problem with the older versions.

I think it would be very helpful to release some kind of help document for explaining the UI in more detail.
More specifically, what exactly does "Enforce Worker Parity" do?
