Which one do you think is the hardest achievement in Starcaft 2?
For me the All In mission on brutal was pretty hard. I tried a lot of times, until I changed to the nydus worm mission and it worked. So, don t do the air mission, if you are having trouble here. Another pretty hard achievement for some people is the Lost Viking Gold achievement. Actually, it isn't that hard, but it is challenging and takes about an hour of your lifetime. TT For the outmached games, you fly to an island, or play on the lava map and instawin. However, maybe there are some achievements that are really hard that I yet havent heard of.
What do you think?
EDIT: FFA Gladiator means kill 5000 units in all ffa games, not only in one. That would have been very unlikely.

This poll has 1 obvious answer.

Couple things:
FFA Gladiator is 5000 units total, not in a single game. 5000 units in a single game means you destroyed 25 max armies of all marines...not going to happen.
I voted "Other" because destroyed 50 buildings in "the dig" was the hardest achievement for me (though that's because I didn't know about floating the barracks BEHIND the base when I did it....ugghh).
However, I got the vs. 2 insane AI achievement by cannon-rushing, which apparently doesn't work anymore? So that might be the hardest now.
Edit: Zen Master is not hard to get. We will all get it in 5 years or so. It just takes forever.
cannon rushing still works. Its all about initial pylon placement
If you believe that 1v4 v.hard ai AI is the most difficult.... you probably had too much to drink.
In the single player forum, there is a complete GUIDE to successfully complete this achievement (assuming they haven't fixed up that ai problem in the blizzard created map). So basically if you follow that guide, a bronze player could probably do this with no problems.
Personally, playing over 3k games and winning them is just really really difficult. If you are not good, this will take years.... I suspect it'll probably take at least 1 year for an average player to get this if they play something like 3 hours a day on SC2.... which isn't really realistic if you are a student.

I just waited to get an Orbital Command and scanned, sniped a couple buildings with the laser, then scanned again.
The achievements aren't hard, just take some time.
Psionic Assault was probably the hardest one for me.

agreed, and it's not even on the list. 800 FFA wins. you can't worker rush (solo zen master) or leave 4v4 games (team zen master) to victory on that one.

Every achievement is achievable in time. Solo Zen is obviously the most time consuming. None of them are "difficult".
The solo/team zen masters are not hard. Bronze league players can get those with enough time. I voted lost vikings gold because it was the only achievement so far that gave me any trouble, but now that I think of it the correct answer is probably one of the combat league achievements.
Your poll is flawed...
Zen Master isn't hard. A bot can do it. If you just worker rush a couple thousand times you will get it.
Hard =/= monotonous
Other because 800 FFA wins is probably harder than Solo/Team Zen Master. 1v1/2v2 you can just cheese and net wins in under five minutes. FFAs will always take much much longer.
Lost viking is the obviosu choice xD
Well if you're counting meta-achievements then definitely solo/team zen master.
But if you're only going by single achievements, then 800 FFA wins will take the longest. The 2nd-to-last FFA win achievement is 400. That means you have to get 400 additional FFA wins just to get those last 10 achievement points. Brutal.
that Gladiator thing which require 5000 kill in ffa is pretty easy...u ask the other guy to make brood lords and let the brood lords fight against each other for ~3 min... everyone gets 5000 kills... I did it with my gf in FFA...when there were not many people played FFA, it was easy to end up in same game if search button was pushed at similar times for both players.
Lost Viking is impossible on my machine. The laggy performance can be dealt with in rts, especially if not on faster, but no way with this arcade. It requires lagless environment, which I don't have.
800 FFA no contest. Unlike in zen master you can't bs your way through dropping a game then rushing. So prepare to play 1200ish games for the FFA achievements, of which each is 30 minutes? So that's 600 hours? Or win one lose one averages 6 mins for one loss + one leave, 3000 wins so 300 hours? Plus there's not motivation in FFA either
I did not need 5000 kills in 1 game? oO, it just stacks up, after 10 ffa's or so I got it, FFA's are fairly easy, solo zen master seems hardest for me, but hard would equal team consuming. :D
how the fuck can people say lost viking one
the FFA 800 has to be the one, its just such a long painful annoying grind
You don't even get a portrait for 800 FFA wins, how ridiculous is that?
800 FFA wins, no ladder, no pics, no decals, no contribution to team/solo zen master, takes ages
I'm going to go with Lost Viking Gold, I am terrible at those types of games and how I ended up getting it is beyond me, but it seems like as small of an achievement as it is, it takes a ton more skill than the other grind achievements this game has.
the 'hardest' would probably be, and i mean not one that just requires playing a lot and not losing every game, would be the protoss shield regen one or getting 40 kills on a single unit, those require some amount of skill.
Regenerating 500 life on a single Roach in a League game, no friendly fire.
The shield regeneration one is a little easier, I actually got it by accident when a Terran opponent continually EMPed my Archons.
The Zen Masteries are not hard they just take for fucking ever...
why is the zen master achievement the hardes? it's not HARD, just time consuming. Over and Over and over and over and over....
doesn't mean it's HARD =/

That 500 life, roach one is one of few things I have yet gotten. I don't know how long it will be before I finally get it, on accident? even on purpose might take a while
The one that requires you to kill 4 Changelings.
lol
500 life regen for a roach could be pretty tricky. Maybe you should use burrow in battles, but only for this single roach. Your enemy maybe wouldnt notice and get no detection lol. This roach would get a control group of its own and when it dies, youll loose the game anyways.
although solo zen master takes a long time to do, it is not actually hard, just win, i'm gonna play sc2 for 10 years, i'm undoubtly going to try all the races more in depth than just Z and I'm going to get there................................ eventually, I think it's lost viking, because if your not good at those types of games, there is no way to do it for you
The Lost Viking achievements are pretty easy once you get the patterns down. I'd say the hardest achievement is the 800 FFA wins one.
For people having problems with the roach life regen-
Go play an FFA. Get burrow and a roach. Find a lone seiged tank. Pop up, get hit. burrow. Wait until healed. Repeat.
Only hard part is getting them to not kill you while you farm the achieve, and generally if you ask politely they'll let you get it. I bribed somebody by sending five changelings at them.

that is so funny
roach one is easy... just find a toss with cannons, run in takes some hits and burrow out! ffa 800 is by far the hardest
FFA 800 is retarded.. im at 50 FFA wins already and it felt like FOREVER to get just that.. Only 750 to go!
Lost Viking, as I hate games like that and ragequit after 5 minutes so I never get better at it.
800 FFA, no question. FFA has always been the hardest and most time consuming form of match making.
"Hard" I woudl say campaign in brutal.
Othe rlike Zen Master, FFA 800, etc.. are just LONG to get, not hard
FFA 800, because there is no fast win. So it's long and painfull.
zen master, is not hard but it takes to much time.
None of the achievements are hard. Some will take more time to grind out is all. Worst case you're a bronze level player with a 35% win rate so it will take 8572 games as random to get each zen master achievement, on average.
By far 800 FFA wins. There is only a one in four chance of winning a FFA so an average player would have to play 3200 games and to win a FFA you can't rush you have to have a long plan.
Zerglot is pretty hard to get if you don't set up a game with a friend specifically aiming for it.
Does anyone have the FFA 800 achevement yet?? I wonder who has the most.
Met a guy with 150 FFA wins, but that is the highest ive seen yet.
On October 08 2010 23:55 Zerksys wrote: Zerglot is pretty hard to get if you don't set up a game with a friend specifically aiming for it.
I actually got that one by accident. Played a team game as zerg with a toss ally. He dropped, I used his warpgate to warp in a zealot and bam. Swooshy sound and 10 achievement points.
But yeah, FFA 800 is the hardest/most annoying.
somewhat depends on if youre trying to do them legit or not. getting the "build a zealot as zerg" in a 1v1 ladder game vs someone who is not horrible will be difficult. but you can get all the achievements with some simple tricks, i got the 5000kills achievement in 1 game for example.
How is it possible to "build a zealot as zerg" in a 1v1 ladder game?

Neural Parasite a probe, use it to build toss base.

This guy seems to have the most achievement points overall. You can browse for the achievement and then see who acomplished it first. I havent found FFA yet.

Not necessarily. Most campaign achievements are done on hard/normal, and beating the campaign on brutal isn't all that hard with practice and just making marines/medics.
Everyone who voted for Zen Master has no idea what hard means.
It's not hard to spend a lot of time on something, it takes no skill.
FFA wins

as long as start choosing race once one more more races have 1k wins, true

Holy fuck..
I play a lot. like 2-3 hours a day probably.. But this guy has more Solo rating than me (by 40 pts, 1750).. more team wins (he has over 750 team wins)... all the normal achievements and to top it off, has 750 more FFA wins than me.. wow, thats fucking insane.
How do people do that? I can understand everything except the FFA wins.. it took me like 6 days of only FFAing to get my 50 wins, and thats with me winning most of the games.. But thats at least 20ish hours of gaming for just 50 wins.
I was expecting someone to have 800 FFA wins, but NOT to have 1700+ solo, 750+ team wins, and all the other achievements (like coop) too.. Crazy as hell.

Step 1 - Be good at SC2 Step 2 - Be unemployed

Yeah, I thought this was going to be the hardest but using this technique it is easy.
Now I just have to find zerg, and then he has to be good enough to make changelings, but not good enough that i don't notice them lol.
"Would you kindly" for me. Can't get NP on a unit and kill 5 other units with it
800 FFA, all other achievement will require quite some work but can be cheesed/abused in a way (worker rush (1v1), insta leave (team)).

Don't know I got it my on my 3rd FFA legit, just took a long game with a few zergs...
actually I'm fairly sure it's a total of all ffa games, not 5000 in 1

800 FFA, its always long game.
On October 12 2010 01:38 TzTz wrote:"Would you kindly" for me. Can't get NP on a unit and kill 5 other units with it I just NP'd some colossi and got it. Hardest would probably be not having your infestor die. I'd imagine casting NP on a tank near some rines might do the trick as well.
Changeling one is probably the most annoying of the combat ones; hardly ever see anyone use it, and even then max 2 times in a game or so.
The lost viking is easy. I have a glitched achievement I will never be able to get no matter how hard I work at it... that seems like the hardest achievement.
If you're wondering about the achievement I'm talking about, I've already beaten all mission on brutal and have the achievement for that, but the achievement that counts the missions that you do (5/10/15/20/25) is glitched after 15.
FFA 800. You can't just cheese your way through bronze for wins like solo zen master and such. This actually requires a lot of luck where you hope for mediocre opponents who don't attack you.
