Which one do you think is the hardest achievement in Starcaft 2?
For me the All In mission on brutal was pretty hard. I tried a lot of times, until I changed to the nydus worm mission and it worked. So, don t do the air mission, if you are having trouble here. Another pretty hard achievement for some people is the Lost Viking Gold achievement. Actually, it isn't that hard, but it is challenging and takes about an hour of your lifetime. TT For the outmached games, you fly to an island, or play on the lava map and instawin. However, maybe there are some achievements that are really hard that I yet havent heard of.
What do you think?
EDIT: FFA Gladiator means kill 5000 units in all ffa games, not only in one. That would have been very unlikely.

btw, I asked myself why I cared about the achievements. Heres my answer: They are fun!

This poll has 1 obvious answer.

Couple things:
FFA Gladiator is 5000 units total, not in a single game. 5000 units in a single game means you destroyed 25 max armies of all marines...not going to happen.
I voted "Other" because destroyed 50 buildings in "the dig" was the hardest achievement for me (though that's because I didn't know about floating the barracks BEHIND the base when I did it....ugghh).
However, I got the vs. 2 insane AI achievement by cannon-rushing, which apparently doesn't work anymore? So that might be the hardest now.
Edit: Zen Master is not hard to get. We will all get it in 5 years or so. It just takes forever.

cannon rushing still works. Its all about initial pylon placement

If you believe that 1v4 v.hard ai AI is the most difficult.... you probably had too much to drink.
In the single player forum, there is a complete GUIDE to successfully complete this achievement (assuming they haven't fixed up that ai problem in the blizzard created map). So basically if you follow that guide, a bronze player could probably do this with no problems.
Personally, playing over 3k games and winning them is just really really difficult. If you are not good, this will take years.... I suspect it'll probably take at least 1 year for an average player to get this if they play something like 3 hours a day on SC2.... which isn't really realistic if you are a student.

I just waited to get an Orbital Command and scanned, sniped a couple buildings with the laser, then scanned again.
The achievements aren't hard, just take some time.
Psionic Assault was probably the hardest one for me.

agreed, and it's not even on the list. 800 FFA wins. you can't worker rush (solo zen master) or leave 4v4 games (team zen master) to victory on that one.

Every achievement is achievable in time. Solo Zen is obviously the most time consuming. None of them are "difficult".

The solo/team zen masters are not hard. Bronze league players can get those with enough time. I voted lost vikings gold because it was the only achievement so far that gave me any trouble, but now that I think of it the correct answer is probably one of the combat league achievements.
|
Your poll is flawed...
Zen Master isn't hard. A bot can do it. If you just worker rush a couple thousand times you will get it.
Hard =/= monotonous
|
Other because 800 FFA wins is probably harder than Solo/Team Zen Master. 1v1/2v2 you can just cheese and net wins in under five minutes. FFAs will always take much much longer.
|
Lost viking is the obviosu choice xD
|
Well if you're counting meta-achievements then definitely solo/team zen master.
But if you're only going by single achievements, then 800 FFA wins will take the longest. The 2nd-to-last FFA win achievement is 400. That means you have to get 400 additional FFA wins just to get those last 10 achievement points. Brutal.

that Gladiator thing which require 5000 kill in ffa is pretty easy...u ask the other guy to make brood lords and let the brood lords fight against each other for ~3 min... everyone gets 5000 kills... I did it with my gf in FFA...when there were not many people played FFA, it was easy to end up in same game if search button was pushed at similar times for both players.
|
Lost Viking is impossible on my machine. The laggy performance can be dealt with in rts, especially if not on faster, but no way with this arcade. It requires lagless environment, which I don't have.
|
800 FFA no contest. Unlike in zen master you can't bs your way through dropping a game then rushing. So prepare to play 1200ish games for the FFA achievements, of which each is 30 minutes? So that's 600 hours? Or win one lose one averages 6 mins for one loss + one leave, 3000 wins so 300 hours? Plus there's not motivation in FFA either
|
I did not need 5000 kills in 1 game? oO, it just stacks up, after 10 ffa's or so I got it, FFA's are fairly easy, solo zen master seems hardest for me, but hard would equal team consuming. :D
