What if we just kept clicking on the spot where the "Return Cargo" button appears, and spamming C whenever we can on all of the workers? Would this effectively do the same thing?

Fuck this indeed works. A player that gets used to this can get quite an advantage over other players but...

For the sake of removing redundant shit from the game I hope this gets fixed. This is just so... ah god, now everyone needs to have like 300 apm early game just because of this crap. I hate redundant tasks like this. There's nothing strategical about them, nothing. Just "let's see who can click faster biatch!"

IMO this is bad for the game.. This isn't really micro, since you have nothing to micro against. It's basically just routine spamming that anyone can do with practice. There's no split-second decision making or reaction micro... It's just a predetermined clicking routine... Might as well award minerals to the player who types the alphabet backwards while droning... YES! Anybody who types the alphabet backwards during the game should be awarded 20 bonus minerals.

This makes sense because it's a complex meta-game decision on whether or not you have the time to type the full alphabet before getting interrupted.

I recommend this feature be added immediately.

lol, fun that some ppl are complaining about this, i like it. as someone pointed out it gives us a new micro element! CS2 really shaves off alot of micro compared to sc1/bw, so im thinking this could be nice. Will be patched tho, im sure

I think if you end a sequence of commands with C it returns cargo and then goes back to it's previous task (in this case, mining), doesn't it?

I mean, when I send guys to gas initially, I right click 3 guys on my geyser and then hit C, which makes any of them that have minerals return them and then they go mine gas normally, despite C being the last command.

Wanting to chat with my opponent in the beginning will actually hurt my economy now? No, this needs to be patched out. What if the pause between attacks for units wasn't mandatory and you could attack as fast as you clicked? That would be fun, spam clicking every battle...

Humans and Orcs did cause their gold mine was like a vespene geyser, and you could speed up the returning when you had 4 or less workers mining. It was only useful before you put your 5th worker on the gold mine though, and everyone very quickly wanted to get their 5th worker to get the optimal mining amount where the mine was occupied all the time.

Literally anybody could do this if they put enough time into doing it. You could actually train an ape to do it. Getting good at doing this says nothing about your RTS skills. It says nothing about your thought process. Literally the only thing it does is signal that you've practiced it a lot.


You couldn't train an ape to stop doing it though based on the current state of the game.

In ideology, yes, but in practice, no, because all the SC2 macro mechanics are designed and balanced around being used. What is wrong with you? That isn't a metagame element because there is no way typing the alphabet backwards would do anything without making a game mechanic to specifically make that happen.

I cannot see how peopl are whining, because of this.

You will almost never lose a game, because your opponent uses this technique and you dont use it, unless you are some progamer. And progamers have enough APM to pull it off and it gives them a small edge - the small edges they are searching for anyway.

I think it's similiar to this:
Player A sets the rallypoint of his Hatch/Nexus/CC once
vs
Player B sets the rallypoint of his Hatch/Nexus/CC each time a new worker pops out, so the new workers never have to run away from their initial mineral patches to others and can start mining immediately thus increasing income.

It's a small edge just like the "socketfolding" But you also will never lose a game, because of this if you are not extreme highlevel where every small bit matters.
