Because Idra seems to have no interest in learning Korean or having extended interaction with Korean teammates and would probably prefer English speaking teammates/team? Because we know how much of a good predictor you are (ex. Google Wave)? I'm sure a LOT of teams would want him on their team. Honestly, how many foreigners (and American) are on Pro-korean teams? Idra is one of the few foreigners who actually made it there and most of us would root for him just from association by nationality. It's the same thing as Yao Ming playing basketball in the NBA. There's literally like a article on him every day in the Chinese newspaper even though theres absolutely no new news to report about him and every person in China roots for his team and buy his team's jerseys and merchandise just because "Yao Ming is on it". After Yao went into the NBA, basketball became a heck lot popular in china. Look at TossGirl from BW afaik she's not very good but they keep her on a team for gimmicks and because she sells tickets. Idra can easily sell tickets and increase the SC2 esports fanbase in America just by being on the team. No offense to Idra because he's very skilled and is one of the best sc2 players out there.

Ok Greg, thx for bringing some light into situation, but, as a big CJ fan would like to ask you if they showed a bit interest in recontracting you or do they have plans for SC2?? Best of Luck

That's understandable 12 hours a day each day is retarded.

People like IdrA (As much respect as I have for him) are definitely holding the e-sports scene back by being really ratty looking, greasy and rude to everyone, including the interviewers (IEM Finals Interview) I do not think IdrA was greasy or rude. He just lost a finals in what would be, for him, the worst way possible. So sure, his mood wasn't the best. He was still calm and professional though, and this he has been nothing buy good for esports. If only his in game manner matched his interview manner ![]()

The guy basically says to MorroW "well you won the tournament but it doesn't really count cuz reapers are imba" and then turns to IdrA and says "let's not talk about balance..." The interviewer is lucky he came away from that with all his teeth still left in his mouth.

I mean 12 hours a day is a bit excessive for SCII, but I hope Idra still maintains a strict practice schedule. Especially since he is a macro player which requires steady practice. I think another Korean SC2 team would be great for IdrA because he can practice with other players instead of ladder grinding on CJ.

When you think about sports sciences (i'm sure there is overlap here), diet, training regime all these sorts of things have a lot of study and research behind them. The Korean approach of more is more, seems rather unsophisticated. As 'pro-gaming' becomes an increasingly lucrative activity, the degree of professionalism in training and preparation is going to increase too. I wonder if anyone knows if there is some actual study behind 'optimum' performance in gaming?
