Nerf the tanks to whatever they need to be, but I think there cost for damage output is gonna be silly. I use tanks for their purpose already, artillery support... usually don't need more then 4-5 at the most to supplement my army... now I need to get more... With regards to timing increases. Goodbye 4 gate, hello 5 gate... more more rax. etc... BC and ultra changes... what? tier 3 too good for the money.... but what about all that time investment. And to everyone still QQing about terrans bio or tank nerf not enough, etc: + Show Spoiler + not one terran in MLG top 3

Yeah the PvT situation you mention seems alot like the PvZ situation that caused the zealot nerf.

I think they really now are trying hard to break SC2. SC BW and SC2 are pretty dynamic, but they want you to purposely have to rock-paper-scissors make a unit to counter another unit. And if you have the wrong unit in any situation, it's worthless and you will be at a severe disadvantage. Sounds like a CnC game to me. with the tank nerf I can't see every TvT now not being mass marine/marauder. There was quite a bit of depth in positioning your tanks and sieging b4 engagements. They're trying to make it all too easier to 1TA to victory...especially in TvT. I don't see why blizzard is trying to force play styles on people with these patch changes. They basically are saying they do not want tank style ala SC1, but they don't want it to be pure bio either...but when the most effective units end up being marauders/marines it's gonna end up with tanks being obsolete tvt. dunno... and what i mean by dynamic as most of us here know...in SC1, if you have a lot of vultures and your opponent happens to have a lot of dragoons...your money in vultures is not actually wasted. You can come out on top depending on how you surround/micro mines. in SC2...if you have a lot of hellions and they have a lot of stalkers...you lose. lol. stuff like that.

The tank nerf will definitely push many more Terrans into the popular MMM playstyle, which isn't really a good thing. But I don't think it will be too long before we see changes made to marauders, concussive shot, or stim. So chill out Terran haters, these changes are an excellent first step.

Well, basically every player in the entire last 6 months of beta was saying MMM needed to be toned down, and nothing happened, so why should we expect anything now? Blizzard has yet to even make a comment acknowledging the problem. That you can make one ball of units. That destroys ground. Destroys Air. Can make drops without spending any extra, and can run away from pretty much any fight. And requires zero micro to use. And to beat it takes a ton of micro and no mistakes.

How about we play the patch and then decide if it needs to be corrected and how. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Simply out of the question... Testing would create verifiable data, first hand experiences, factual analysis and lead to all sorts of terrible things like "facts" and "reality" and even worse... what if it isn't as bad as our imaginations and arguments are claiming? What then? Now you see why we need to take action NOW, we can not wait until we actually know what we are saying and can back it up with facts... for then it shall be too late.

Well to be fair terran was considered the worst race for a pretty long time, had like 1-2 terran in 10 zotac finals at the time and such everything was either z or p. When tester blurted out his statement "terran will be the best" or w/e actually not all that long ago the responses were the same as if you made a z is too good vs t thread on these forums right now. Would prefer if the game could be something else than 4ss 5dddaaaaaa 1at with the odd left click left in there. Besides not really seeing the fuss about tanks really, last two big tourneys have had like 20 tanks in total in casted games no joke, makes sence when you remove the other 3 fun units to try to negate the last one as well.

Still, it seems all these build time increases will be promoting less one-base all-inish play since they will be more easily defended. As a terran I like these changes and they all seem fairly reasonable.
