There's a reason, terrible hardware is one of them, software is another. Macs are also too slow. The fact that I refuse to play Starcraft 2 on Mac OS X is not because the game is slow, but because the mouse acceleration screws with me, and there's no way to simply turn it off. Back on topic. I hate using my Macbook Pro keyboard because the F10 key is *directly* above the '0' key. I use the "classic" hotkey setup, and i tend hit F10-P trying to build probes and accidentally pausing the game more often than I'd like. After a while, I bought the cheapest keyboard I can find, and used it as a dedicated StarCraft keyboard.

Furthermore, my laptop can only handle low graphics.

I prefer flat keys because it is very easy to slide your fingers across. I don't lift my fingers when I move my hands, as I find it a lot easier to accurately track my hand position if it stays on the keys. Normal keys with ridges cause my fingers to "jump" as they slide across, which is annoying and occasionally causes me to hit the wrong key.

i allow feel i game better on my laptop, proof was positive when i played bw because i was more accurate on the laptop then i was on the desktop (this is because my desktop is set up where i sit on a couch, super lazy style, rather than in a chair close to my monitor) i think the equipment might be technically worse, but if your comfortable then laptops are great i think

I don't have any problems with the keyboard or flat keys. You get use to it. I sometimes play on the family computer with a regular keyboard and it's fine too. I honestly can't say I prefer one over the other. With both my only problem is my fingers getting kind of "lost" when I have to hit a key farther to the right.

My Lenovo has a keyboard that might be passable for gaming, however I don't want to destroy the weak scissor keys so I use an external instead.
