Seriously? I'm sad that people like you listen to content I produce.
-1 for responding to you.
People who once linked a youtube video on teamliquid?, what else do you know about me?. Also i listen to the show for people like idra and tyler who have a clue and make valid points, if it wasnt for them the show would be just you jacking off incontrol while he sprouts uniformed US-biased crap.

I read that first with the 300 spartan voice in my head. Then i realized it was supposed to be Team America reference. Still kinda funny either way, lol.

And for that you got Huk...
Huk is Canadian...but whatever. Regardless the point is that NA is arguably underrepresented at Dreamhack. MLG Dallas had Ret, TLO, Jinro, and Haypro.

They came ... and what can Americans do when your not invited for the main event. GO try to get into the event by a BYOC competition(bo3 format)! But what do the americans do? they only blame the organisation because the invites.
As if Paperkat isn't a fucking laughingstock in the entire WoW arena scene? How do you propose to run an "unbiased" podcast when timezones alone will demolish most of your attempts to get top members of the eu and us scenes together?

Aren't the qualifiers BEST OF ONE?
That's their reason. Why spend THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS to fly to Europe to be cheesed out in 1 round? =|

You want players to fly to Sweden (not to mention they need to provide their own computer) just to attempt qualification into the tournament with no guarantee they can ever participate in the main event? How can you even begin to compare this to the format of an MLG or a GSL where all participants have the same road to the finals. oGs TOP will have to win twice as many matches as Lucifron if he is to win the tournament, how is that a good system?
So, does anyone know anything about GameGune 2010 then? I looked at an article on Fnatic's site and Geoff had all the facts right; really decent prize money for a top 4 position. But TL has no threads about it from what I can tell and PainUser sounded like he was finding out about it on the cast. Who is going and why isn't there any hype?

There are 8 BYOC tournaments all with ro64 bo3.... and if you wanna win you also need to beat these guys. Just like GSL you need to pwn everyone. And ofc the DH organisation can work somethings out for them foreigners out there that cant provide their PC (they there own desk with computers for the main event). I dont see anything bad to have some "practice matches" to get into the main event.
wowow and MLG is such a huge main event.... you can be out in 2x bo3. so dont even care about that you need to win evrything to have a profit from a event when its in another continent. (just look @ incontrol failure at GSL qualification that only cost and is efficient economical wise.
ps: Why do american think they can steamroll evryone on lan and also painuser, he is nothing more then somebody who got a good roll in last MLG. Where is his achievement list from past games SC1/W3 and his SC2 achievement list is also not impressive.
WoW Arena scene is a joke anyway. You have people like JP who actually put in effort to get podcasts out and improve the scene but the massive infestation of trolls push that all away and undo any effort people do to actually move forward.
STOG is a pretty good podcast, obviously it is going to be centered around the US scene, you can't just get a euro for the sake of having a euro, if he is the only person in the know about the euro scene then it will be still awkward. Instead of complaining about the lack of euro on STOG, rally behind the euro community and get them to start their own podcast

The Gamegune is a professional gaming competition that is held in the Aldea Digital, following in the footsteps of the Euskal Encounter.
In this edition the game to be played is Starcraft II.
It will be held in a specific area with organization provided PC, where the best players will fight in equal conditions.
Every player will have to pay an entrance fee, even if they have been invited. The entrance ticket fee will be $500 mexican currency, per person.
In order to take part in this competition you will need to get an invitation from organization.
In order to get such an invitation you might contact us on gamegune@euskalencounter.org.
Mexico City is hardly a glamorous place to hold an event nowadays. I imagine that players might be uncomfortable going even considering the substantial prize pool.
