It's his job to pacify the community and take the brunt of backlash as the vanguard for Blizzard. Think about it in a braveheart/game of thrones scenario. You have a major uprising and backlash, but you don't send your king or his counsel out. You send out someone that can sympathise with the masses. If he was to come out and say: "In 2 weeks we will provide LAN play, in-game streaming and a global permanent ban for hackers, based off of credit card information, cd-keys and whatever other means we can to ensure they never play SC2 again!" And then didn't deliver? They will never please 100% of the fans. From what I can gather NA WCS was a joke. Too bad aye? Should the community keep raging about it and demanding countless things? Or should they man up like CatZ did on META and focus on what they themselves can do? Sure, you want accountability. Everyone does. A huge PR cover-up/weak diversion shouldn't sate the blood-thirsty horde, but it should say "Hey, maybe they are listening a little, maybe we can tweet/pm/email alot of the community heads, get some great ideas about changes/support/structure/system and maybe on the 2nd run through Blizzard will actually fix alot of the shit. In my opinion they are a shadow of the company they formerly were. Never been interested in subscription based pay to play WoW, or RHAM motivated D3. I've lost ALOT of interest in the actual storyline behind the SC series, HotS basically killed it for me. After LotV I doubt another Blizzard title will pique my interest again. This doesn't mean I don't think the community can steer SC2/Blizzard eSports in the right direction. From someone that used to love Blizzard, from playing Lost Vikings before I even knew about the company, from the 1st time I played Starcraft at a friends and went online and read the battle reports with D22-[soso] : Be constructive, positive and objective in your opinions. Pass them on to the people who can represent them the most. A forum shouldn't be about bitching that you didn't get what you want. | ||

I have an idea about that. You know how some casters use play-by-play where the main observer is watching the main battle and the other observer is watching a drop thats happening in the main and its on screen during the main battle. Take that and change it up a bit. Two observers. One observer who is the main observer(obviously) and he can't use the info tabs like production tabs, income, units, and such. The only thing he could use is how many workers have been killed. He doesn't know whats really coming except for when hes actually observing it happening. This is where the behind the scenes observer comes in. The behind the scenes observer can use all of the info tabs and see whats coming and know when its coming and he communicates with the main observer on how close things are to finishing like massive tech switches from that Leenock/Naniwa game on Akilon wastes where he just goes into like 30 muta's after his stuff got destroyed. The behind the scenes observer would see that occuring and let the main observer know when its time to pan over and see all those muta's popping out or flying over to group up. I think it could work. I could be totally wrong and it could fail horribly but we'd never know unless someone ties and experiment with it. | ||

I just love Tod and Kaelaris together so much, I'm not sure if it's because I'm British and the whole Brit/France thing has been going on for centuries but they're like the odd couple when it comes to casting but it works so well and they were great on the show too <3 | ||
