![]() Have to still catch the beginning but the way I see it, this new Meta thingy from Artosis and SOTG by JP definitely can coexist as they deliver info on different topics which should distinguish them enough IMO - and both are great in their own way.

I mean, Cloaken said it best: "I am not in a position to make commitments for Blizzard through 2015." There is only so much the guy can say about specific issues. I liked how he discussed Blizzard All Stars and the features they are trying to add in. I think it is really smart to do that because it still runs on the same engine as SC2, but they can work on it independently from SC2. They have have a beta and work out the kinks while HotS just chugs along. I, for one, am more confident about all of WSC after that SotG. It is clear that Blizzard is responding and willing to work on the issues as they come up. And rather than try to plan for every little problem that might arise, they are pushing forward and fixing things as they go. Once the community gets used to the idea that Blizzard will respond to problems in a timely fashion, we will have a whole lot less drama. Side note: I still want DJWheat and TB on every week. Meta fills all my in game needs and the whole discussion of Group B was the funniest thing I have heard all week.

Getting tournaments to adopt GameHeart while they are being pressured to use the Blizzard UI tool is a real struggle, so any kind of negative stuff like that can have a big impact. The truth is custom map solutions for online tournaments like GameHeart may well be the best way for us to combat hacking. Unfortunately you're preaching to the wrong people. I've never thought that GameHeart introduced those issues, and when we spoke about it on Live On Three that was never brought up. I doubt that the general population thinks this is nothing but fantastic. And if it really does combat hacking, yes you should promote the shit out of that because I wouldn't have known unless you said something.

It's only been a recent revelation that it could (and does) work for that purpose. Right now it breaks the production tab hack but doesn't appear to affect anything else. I believe I can also make it break hacks that show units in the fog of war but I am not certain. I want to study it more before I actually use it to market the overlay so I don't have to eat my foot later. While having general viewers love the overlay is important because them being vocal about wanting it is what makes tournament organizers consider it in the first place, security/stability issues (and whether or not Blizzard will even allow them to use GameHeart) are their primary concerns. So I am just trying to address the rumors that it has caused security issues before they go any further. I didn't know you guys had covered it on LO3! I will have to check out the vods. Thanks for your support!

Cloaken had a really hard task with TotalBiscuit and DjWheed at the show and i think he handled it good. Sure Blizzard is late to the Party but at least they woke up and now they are really trying to get something done e-sport wise. Community is sometimes a bit to harsh/critical. Go Community....Go Blizzard......<3 Sc2 Edit: Whoops i meant Totalbiscuit not Mr.Bitter

I understand this is their first go at putting a tournament together this size and in all honestly I respect what they are trying to do but they have failed in other areas as well. It took them YEARS and an expansion release to do some BASIC UI upgrades that were promised to the community at WOL release. I just don't feel any confidence in Blizzards to accomplish things in any sort of reasonable timely manner. I truly believe they must have some passionate people working for them but maybe they should spend some of the millions they have made off this game and hire some more "passionate" people instead of a select few. The isn't Blizzard anymore. This is Activision and they're all about making a buck over producing anything with any sort of quality to it. Don't expect much from their games (even though SC2 and HotS aren't terrible), tournaments, websites, or anything really with their name on it. The amount of blatant not giving a shit this company has shown us should have turned people away, but I guess the promise to improve their 3 expansion game keeps people hoping for something better around the corner, but the only improvements that were made to this game are still stuff we had on Battle.net 1.0 and similar to what BW was to SC vanilla. I'm sure there are passionate people who work at Blizzard, but those at the top are all about increasing profit, and this is the type of product you will receive. It is a shame that arguable the best gaming company has fallen so far.

GameHeart has no effect on map hacking and the major cheating, it can for now temporarily disable production tab hack, but if the hack devs every so choose they can get around it easy, but pretty sure most of the hack creators only care about producing hacks for battle.net. So for now Game Heart has some nice features, but hardly combats hacking at all. Game Heart is no warden. but cheers to them for at least trying to produce a safe environment for tourneys, thats pretty neat to see. But there are many ways to get the production tab offsets and produce it in a way game heart can't disable. What game heart can do right now is stop the script kiddy public production tab hacks but not the more advanced ones.

GameHeart actually BREAKS the production tab hack so it doesn't work! This is terrible publicity for GameHeart when it should be the opposite! Obviously this must be my fault because people misunderstood what I wrote on the topic, but it still hurts to have something you have worked so hard on take a hit from something that isn't even true. ![]()

But what is going on with SOTG and Meta? Feel like there needs to be some sort of clarification. Seems like Artosis completely ripped you off.
