Would be nice if fungal did slow + damage instead of stun + damage. 80-90% movement speed reduced?

Oh, and btw, awesome show...was dieing of laughter.

Well, forcefield is also undodgeable as well...

That was a good episode, keep up the good work guys. I laughed soo hard, poor Artosis.

ALSO, WTF? Why no Terran/Zerg player? sooo biased SotG! You're ruining esports!

Yes, forcefield is undodgeable. Comparing forcefield to fungal is like comparing an apple to an orange.

Spell - Response
Forcefield: instant cast, block movement. - go under or over forcefield, use massive unit to crush it.
Fungal: instant cast, deals damage, stun effect - literally nothing you can do.

When a Protoss splits your army in half, or even just prevents reinforcements, there is literally nothing you can do, unless you are, for some strange reason, using Thors or Ultralisks against Protoss.

I agree with the nada beating puma moment.

I felt like the crowds at MLG really fueled Nada's fire and gave him renewed enthusiasm and confidence. Same for boxer at anaheim, you could see him really soaking it in after each set.

I'm guessing bw crowds were a bit more like this, and feeling it again really got to them.

Also can we get some zerg and terran on the show? I don't care about bias, but I feel that protoss issues get explained and discussed in great detail (because that is their expertise) and terran and zerg changes kinda get glossed over and not given a lot of discussion.

For example, talking about the vision change, and how it effects warp in, forcefields, and blink, and how the blinkstalker change effects PvP was great and very insightful. but there was none of that concerning terran or zerg. I would love to know the intracacies of how 5 seconds on the barracks changes terran timing. Does it only change the 11/11, or does it also nerf the hell out of some other terran 1-base play (here's hoping). The drone attack fix is huuuuge and I don't think it even got mentioned.
There was also a well-hidden change to flying unit clumping mechanics in combat, that I think could really mess with TvT air battles, and maybe even PvZ void ray/phoenix.

and also, please try to get a zerg besides Idra. Although he's easy to reach, and he's often considered a top foreigner zerg, he is pretty useless in any kind of discussion, and I'd love to hear some more forward thinking zergs speaking out.

Listening to it right now before I have to leave for class, just a thought JP-

I think it would be good to have a Terran player on when talking about the balance changes, hell even Zerg plays for that matter. Just nice to have other perspectives, lets not kid ourselves we all have biases for the race we play, having the other perspectives would be really awesome :D

You have Inside the Game for that. That show is great. Protoss is still completely OP over there. Immortals will apparently break PvT... because, y'know, terrans really struggle in that matchup.

I love the general discussions on State of the Game, but when it comes to the race-specific things, it's mostly Protoss stuff, so I just skip over them usually. I listen to Inside the Game for balanced race discussion (the latest episode was good at going over all changes fairly indepth where there was indepth discussion to be had).

Isn't that enough reason to mix one or two in to begin with?

If players play like that they deserve to lose to mass fungal.

You can't split a 200 supply army because it would take way to much space...

And once Broodlords are out you are forced to Blink forward = instant clumping

Watch Huk's lategame PvT on Tal'Darim. I've seen him arc his army across half the map so that it collapses onto the incoming T army. I know you're talking PvZ, but the blanket statement that you can't spread a high-supply army is not right.

Also, if Zerg is engaging you in a location where it's impossible to spread your forces at all, then you're in a good spot, because a location where you can't spread is a narrow choke, exactly where you want the Zerg army charging at you.

You never see a broodwar pro, 5 control groups for your army and battling over 4-5 screen lengths was pretty common. Its not impossible in the least, also, you can grab blocks of stalkers and blink them, sort of like vultures had to be grabbed in chunks of 2 or 3 to plant mines. People will find solutions, but those excuses can be handled through pretty good micro that isn't inhuman to do.

If you go to this site and search for vodka, you'll find Permafrost ranked #3 out of 370 vodkas. It's pretty damn good. I prefer it over Grey Goose.

Is Inside the Game still using PainUser and Idra as Terran and Zerg representative ? If so I think balanced discussion is kind of out the window

We bought some Permafrost for our MLG watch party last weekend, and - not like you need MY endorsement when you already have LiquidTyler's - it was excellent.

Yes they are. And when they discussed the patch notes, it was a better conversation due to all races being represented.

I still love SOTG though.

I dunno about terran and thors but i really doubt its possible to just get an ultra or 2 when the protoss starts pushing with sentries

Both can be mitigated with proper positioning

I have no idea how do you get to see VoDs. But when the streams were on, there was a tab for VoDs and on the left under "Special" menu, there was SoTG listed. It was just 17minutes long with Artosis, Tasteless, Day9 and Incontrol.

Maybe this will help you at least a bit.
