It isn't always. It's pretty shitty to laugh at someone about any bodily characteristic if you don't know that person. The difference here is between what friends say to each other and what people say about randoms or behind someone's back. The whole thing seemed like a joking exchange to me. "you're bad let's 1v1 bro" "yeah whatever you're short."

I doubt that would be the case, he is so heavily involved in the NASL that I doubt he would give that up. I just think he had too much on his plate and had to drop something and he decided to drop SOTG. He still wants to compete as a progamer and that means u have to practice and not just do casting, podcasts and other stuff.

I just listened to the podcast again, he said he quit because of Inside the game. And then added something like "and casting and gaming etc". And for NASL, they won't change their casters for Season 1, but as far as I know they didn't reveal too much about Season 2, so we'll have to wait and see. That's because in the former case, it's obviously a joke. Like, I can't seriously criticize you for your height, because you can't change that, so I clearly must be joking. If I tease you for being fat however, you can't know that and you probably think I'm offending you and it wasn't just a joke.

The only thing that makes me wary, is he is part of EG, and if this crapola about EG not permitting players on the show is true, then hmmm.....

Also, I really don't know what's more surprising: that people chose to react to Geoff's leaving the show by jumping on his back about some random comment he made to huk - or that I'm still surprised by the arbitrarily meaningless bullshit that people will choose to make a big deal over and the actually meaningful things that people have completely lost sight of. I guess it's better than random balance discussions?

So if someone is handicapped, dwarf or has a big nose its ok to make fun of it because they cant change that, so it clearly must be a joke? I guess its just not my kind of humour.

I know confident guys who have no idea how they are percieved and that can be very defensive/agressive about jokes aimed at them. Your generalizations aren't valid nor are they based on anything but opinion. You're right, it is my opinion. And I don't disagree with your opinion or your own generalizations about people and behaviour, either. But tell me, is everyone in Sweden this humorless? Do they mistake seriousness as a form of intelligence and maturity? You're bordering on self-parody right now. Before you answer that question, the answer is no and no. I'm just trolling you because in some ways, your response inadvertently validated the generalization you're disputing.

I guess its just not my kind of humour. It's fine if they don't mind. Similar to how racist, fat, religious, whatever jokes can be funny on someone's behalf assuming they find it funny and not offensive. It all depends on how the person who could be offended takes it, and if you know the person you'll know if you can pull that joke or not. I swear to you, there are plenty of dwarfs who don't mind joking/hearing jokes about their height. At the same time there are of course dwarfs who will see it as a cheap shot rather than a joke and possibly headbutt your groin.

Or perhaps they just need something to talk about...

he looked exhaustet. so it makes sense hes taking some weight off his shoulders (derp herp joke). i am a fan of incontrol because he did sotg but thats no reason for him to pick one podcast over another. who am i? in my eyes it looks awfully suspicious that he is doing the "EGish" inside the game but we dont know if that has anything to do with it. wait am i talking about exclusive incontrol broadcasting rights? fuck me what am i thinking... im really hyped djWheat finally has his shit back together and launched OMG.tv maybe one day we will have a studio show like epileptic gaming once was. maybe JP could switch over to OMG.tv !!!! all in the same boat. that would be AWWESOOOOME!!!!!!!!

I have no problems with Incontrol messing with Huk, i never said i did. I personally don't find that kind of humor to be very fun but i don't mind it. My post just argued that your definitions of what it is to be confident is just opinions and in my experience not really true. Why am i bordering on self parody and how did i validate the generalizations? :O

I'm honestly surprised that no one thought of mentioning that Protoss could really use an overhaul on the DT in HotS. Perhaps make it fly, move a little faster and have a ranged attack. ![]()

But telling everyone who ever gets teased about something to develop a sence of humour is really ignorant. Its interesting though that people find it ok to tease someone about their height and other things that they cant change, but teasing someone about how fat they are etc is usually considered a low blow even though that is something you are responsible for. How is it ignorant? In the context of what was happening in the show; in which parties on the show's panel are likely not taking any offence to the comic gestures (as they are friends), why should people feel obligated to feel offended on someone else's behalf? If HuK is being teased about his height (as he consistently is), why do people feel it's their place to defend him when he isn't in need of defending given the context of the gesture? I accept people are different; but that does not make it rational by any means. I am simply stating that this is the show for what it is, and if people want to watch it, there are terms they have to accept in doing so. I say that people should develop a sense of humour because in no way, shape, or form should SotG adjust their content solely to appease the irrational responses "touchy" (which are the vast minority) people are giving. It's ridiculous the extent public figures have to go to, to ensure that every thing they say isn't completely taken out of context. Content is much better when people are more or less able to act as themselves and not worry about every sentence sparking controversy.

Do you actually think someone who is getting teased by their friends would say they dont think its funny and tell them to stop? No, pretty much everyone will try to laugh it off. Its more embarrasing if you act like you care then if you just laugh it off, but it doesnt mean you dont feel insulted. Im not saying huk cares about it at all, im just saying he wouldnt say something about it if he actually did.
