So, it went from 10 hours to every 12 hours, so less often?

You really listen to community feedback and are always improving.
This site is really important for this community, just wanted to give you some mad props for consistently improving and updating, and listening to the community.
Thanks! Wouldn't be the same if people didn't give feedback.

Being a person that really likes stats...you might want to think about implementing an option to show the trend line that a person has. As someone learns, their graph tends to peak and plateau a lot, making it difficult to see where exactly they may end up in a month or so. Adding a trend line to the graph would let them know if they are actually improving or not. (If my trend sayd 1900 in two weeks today, and 1850 tomorrow...I know I need to improve more).
Another thing that I would find very useful it the ability to compare myself to a friend...I do this manually as it is, but would enjoy an automated version.
Interesting idea, I'm not sure how complicated doing a trend line with Highcharts would be. I like the idea thought so I'll look into it, but no promises.
Comparing to others would be fun, I want to do a bit more fancy JS stuff for that, so while it'll happen it'll take a bit longer.

Could you also implement proper chat channels in Bnet 0.2, sir? ;-)
Wait for 1.2 :p

It went from updating the top 10 players in every non-diamond division, to the top 50. The hours didn't change thought.

That explains why I no longer have to queue my account. Good stuff.
If you get confused in regards to trends...just post here. I or someone else savvy in stats can help!

I was trying to search myself in Europe masters league, but i'm nowhere to be found... Neither is Mikoeldmon (#1 in my division), who has been in blizzard top200 for few weeks. Could you guys please add division "Alexander November" to sc2ranks masters league ?

The modifier for Aleksander November isn't known yet, I don't handle updating the division modifiers. But curiosity got the better of me and it was quick, Aleksander November is a 189 point division.
Waiting for Excalibur to finish up with the US divisions for this week and I'll push the Aleksander November division to EU. Should be no more than an hour or two.

Am I wrong or the achievement tab under a player's profile doesn't list all the achievement's categories? I was having trouble browsing all my achievements, looking for those considered "most rare" to put them in the showcase.
Actually, a ladder of the "rarest achievements" in order of number of people who got them would be nice to see
|
It only ranks about 8 of the achievement categories of them, it's too hard to actually pull every single achievement a player has since it would require something like ~50 requests HTTP requests per character to load them all, which would mean it takes 1 - 2 minutes to update which is too slow.
|
What's strange is that I was able to find through google some of those achievements which aren't otherwise displayed in the categories.. such as Gosu Comp Stomp Insane and others.. including the number of players who got them.. so I just thought that they were actually collected as data (maybe with slow refresh, but still collected), but just not indexed in the main page. Why for example I can't find any link to the said achievement, but still I can find it through google?
|
That's because it shows the last 5 achievements you earned, they still get links and are pretended as if they were spidered achievements just because it's easier.

Plan for 1.2, since it's around the corner:
Team, team relations (Who's on what), team history, divisions will be backed up and moved to a separate season table. Another patch mark will be set so you can view stats by Patch 1.2.0.
Everything listed above will be reset completely (you'll be on no teams). Assuming Blizzard implements it how I expect them to, I'll add a new link to character profiles that lets you view by season. You'll be able to go back to your old team and view your progression in S1.
Order you'll see everything popup will be: Masters league support, teams by season, whatever other crazy things Blizzard adds.
Oh also, I think it's Christmas or something, Merry Christmas!

Thanks for the hard work on the site. Any chance you'd be able to provide match-up win rates? i.e. PvT, PvZ, PvP with each winning % next to it?
Not too familiar with the technical stuff that would go behind that, but just curious if it is possible.
Maybe match-up win rates by map, too? :-P

Hey, awesome site! You do a great service to the comunity by letting us access this information so easily.
One request, though - could you add a filter to map stats for just, say, ranked 1v1 games? I was trying to figure out how I stack up on certain maps so I could figure out what to practice, but all I could see was my record on Poker Defense and Zerg Hunter RPG..

i believe shadowed mentioned that this isnt possible because there is no way to draw that data out. sc2gears can only do that (sort of) via all your replays that they analyze. there is no other means to calculate it currently.

Thanks! You mean the map listing page on profiles, or the specific map drilldown page?

As JiYan said, I don't have the data to do it unfortunately.

How about modifier point of division that not in Top 200 ?

Not possible, but it's irrelevant in about a week.

Oh hey, might not be seen since it's on page 34, but thanks for the awesome site shadowed :D

Ladder reset will probably happen in January with the new patch.
|
1.2.0 will bring the Masters league which will mean the current /masters/ page is turned into an 'official' page that is just based on the actual league, rather than the division modifiers that have been calculated by users.
So when that happens, the current page is irrelevant, since the division modifiers also reset.
