SC2Ranks has joined the ZAM Network! For those who played World of Warcraft you may know them for WoWHead, WoWInterface, Allakhazam and many other World of Warcraft and non-World of Warcraft sites. Before you start worrying that this means I'm abandoning ship, I'll be staying on and running and updating as I was before. What does this mean for you? Only good things, will be moving servers in about a week or two. For people who take advantage of the API, you'll get much faster responses and I can start expanding the API without worrying about the server coming crashing down. Data will be updated faster and all the annoying "I refreshed my character but leagues weren't updated" will be fixed. In the future, you will see some more non-Blizzard league information, such as GSL and MLG. Expanded statistics, better customer division controls, the faster updates on data will mean statistics are also more accurate again. I'll be revisiting previous suggestions that I had to either decline or put on hold because the server couldn't handle it. If you have questions and you don't want to post, you're welcome to email shadow@sc2ranks.com ----- Since reimporting the DB sped up things a bit for now, I brought more workers back online and switched profile updating code back for league updates. It'll get faster once the server is moved, but the recent slow update times should be resolved.

Edit: I second the "All-time" graph comment! I loved seeing my career graph to see how I'm improving. (Only December tells me I'm better than two days ago...I need at least three months to see a trend.)

Ads will load in an iframe now so the site should load a bit faster. Top 600 players in 1v1 players in diamond will have their match history (upped from 200) Top 200 players in 1v1 players in diamond will be updated every 20 minutes now (upped from 100) Top 50 players in every non-diamond division will be updated every 12 hours (upped from 10) SC2 forums and blogs are now spidered again to find new players, and anyone who is found in the database already will have their character code set. Added win/loss percentages to map listing in character profiles Fixed point and race distribution graph to show 0% -> 100% and nothing higher, as well as show intervals of 20% again. [edit] Few more Fixed colors for random, they are slightly lighter Fixed stat boxes, they are no longer slightly offset

Could you also implement proper chat channels in Bnet 0.2, sir? ;-)

Being a person that really likes stats...you might want to think about implementing an option to show the trend line that a person has. As someone learns, their graph tends to peak and plateau a lot, making it difficult to see where exactly they may end up in a month or so. Adding a trend line to the graph would let them know if they are actually improving or not. (If my trend sayd 1900 in two weeks today, and 1850 tomorrow...I know I need to improve more). Another thing that I would find very useful it the ability to compare myself to a friend...I do this manually as it is, but would enjoy an automated version.
