You can find the image file in the game archive and update them. For example this one is the murloc marine. http://www.sc2ranks.com/us/635884/Progammer
Oops forgot. You might need to do a hard refresh but it's fixed.

He means it's stored in memory (cache) of the website for now, and that it will update on it's own with time, you just need to wait.

Shadowed,
The site is awesome! I just found a link called map statistics...which I was really excited about! The thing is, it isn't updating properly. It says my last game on Scrap station was almost a month ago! If you get some time ( iam sure you are busy!) can you look and see if that can be fixed?
thanks!

Match histories are updated when profiles are updated, I try and keep profiles updated as much as I can, but it's not really possible to keep ~2.2 mill profiles updated

what is the plan when the new leagues come out?

I appreciate that, and I am not talking about match histories, as mine is pretty much up to date. But the map statistics is not up to date at all. http://www.sc2ranks.com/us/623523/pugowar/maps/ show me as only playing 147 games, while I have played over 600. It says my last game on blistering sands was 10/13/2010, when I just played a game on it on 11/17/2010 (whcih is up to date on the site)
I am not trying to complain as I love the site, but if it could be fixed I would appreciate it.

No real plan, it'll be supported the same way the other leagues are now.

Mmm, no reason it should be doing that. I'll have to dig into it a little and figure out why.

I think the map data collection has some sort of larger problem going on - checking a few of the ladder maps randomly, all have a massive downward trend in number of games played during the last two weeks. It's possible that the ladder has just had a lot less games played, but a dropoff of that magnitude seems unlikely.

The map stats shown per character, and total map stats are two different setups, not related. I don't really see anything wrong with it code-wise, it looks like everything is still working.

Few small changes today:
You can now rename characters without waiting for sc2ranks, http://sc2ranks.com/us/738095/Shadowed by using the "Rename" button in the right. You must enter names exactly as they are, "shadowed" is invalid, as is "SHADOWED." This checks with battle.net before renaming, so you can't abuse it.
If the new name entered checks out, it will update the database and recache it with the new name immediately.
Optimized the region race ranks on team pages, teams from 1v1 or the random brackets will load even faster. Everything else will load a little bit faster, but not as much.
[edit] Forgot, these two as well:
The first age set (before JS updates it) for age is now the proper timestamp Last update for teams is now accurate.

Hi,
thanks for you cool page! A little question, will there be a rank freeze when Blizzard resets the ladders so you could look up what was the players rank in the last season?
|
How can we update profile information ? sometimes it takes 1-2 days to update..

I haven't decided exactly how I'll implement it. I'll be taking full snapshots of teams/divisions/team characters, so I'll have the option to do whatever.

Queuing a refresh is the only way.

A version of the 'masters' league, aka Blizzards top 200 is now out and available at http://sc2ranks.com/masters
This covers about 5,300 people in the US right now since those are the divisions that have had their offsets reversed. We've confirmed that the numbers match up with Blizzards top 200 (you'll see some differences because this is live and Blizzards is not).
More info on the theorycrafting behind it: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=169830

Sweet! was waiting for that list!

I am a little confused. If you go to the main page of the site, there is a bar at the top that has regions and a number. I assume this number is the number of players in each region.
Click on Total, and it displays some pretty comprehensive statistics, but these don't seem to match up with what was displayed on that top bar. In the bar it displays almost 2.2million for total players, but this page says there are almost 9.5million players. Furthermore, if you go to the bottom of the page (the league distribution by region section) and add up those numbers, you get a third total that is completely different from the two other numbers.
This is probably a stupid question, but I am just having trouble figuring out what all these numbers are. Does anyone know?

The wording is a bit off, but it depends what you're viewing. For example, if you view 2v2 then it doubles the stats, so if their are 500,000 2v2 *teams* then it would show 1,000,000 2v2 *players*. That's mostly for the sake of breaking statistics down.
It needs to be fixed and it's something I plan on doing, but I have to sort out a few things, and hopefully have an announcement on a bunch of this at the end of the week.
Updating the masters list with new divisions now.
