No. Other publishers' schedules and the state of the economy really don't impact our release dates. We feel like if we have a great game, we should get it into the hands of our fans as soon as we realistically can. Our products have such long life cycles that if someone's not thinking about buying our games when we launch, maybe they'll buy them six months from launch, or a year from launch, or two years from launch.
What happened to "It's ready when it's ready."?

This is pretty much the worst interview he could have given. This guy won't ever be allowed to give an interview again.

Is this really the company that gave us Starcraft and Diablo II speaking? Get your god damn act together, Blizzard. No, it´s not. It is Activision-Blizzard now -.- The sad thing is that we can't even blame Activision for it as they have nothing to do with the company, both companies just were owned by the same entity (Vivendi) and they decided to call them one. They still work at different places and the teams have nothing to do with eachother.

Maybe...
Fat chance, Lance...

We should start a Bnet 2.0 sux facebook page get everyone to join as a friend. Suggest all the lacking things right now. And send it to the top of blizzard. Maybe if we get it to every site and maybe even Koreans we can make a stand. That'll show them what we use facebook for

Do I really want to buy this game? by founding it
that's a pretty good way of getting a job imo

The tone of this interview is weird.

Apparently chat channels were just to much to ask for.. But thank god for Facebook!!!..!.... I hate Facebook.. -_-

omg.. I always thought chat channels would be on the to do list.. I actually thought originally they would be in for launch.. then then with the UDP problems.. maybe they have a couple things to iron out first..
But then saying, does the community really want chat channels.. umm.. do I really want the entire tl community on my friends list to talk to them in game!?

I dont really call it bnet anymore for me its failnet 2.0 . Too bad there wont be a legal version of sth like iccup in sc2 .

What I dont understand, is if the only reason Blizzard is blocking cross-relm play...Why dont they set up a tournament server? So that people can complete in tournaments from diffrent regions with a single game copy, and this avoids Blizzards incapability to keep up with the rest of the worlds ability to have support for this in their games...

What the hell is this crap?
8 people said they like this direction? What the hell?

Why would anyone play on the standard servers then? Unless you mean that that server was only for tournaments and not for ladder.
I hope they'd do that.

Their policy on cross server plays: --buy 2 games or GTFO. I'm feeling sick. They just don't give a rat's ass. I'm actually starting to reconsider buying this game which is a shame because the game is actually going to be good in spite of Bnet666 and Blizzard's attempts.

Frank Pearce has 8 sockpuppet accounts on TL?

Not at all surprising of a interview, really. It does sound kind of fake but I know this is how a lot of people in Blizzard, such as Brett Wood, "say" things (I had replies from B.W. on Battle.net back in wc3's hayday about how Blizzard knew about the editor's problems and had no intention of ever fixing them). Really, this is just echoes to me now.
