Have yet to experience the mini-map bug personally, even though I have been playing against people in customs where it has happened to them.

I have experienced the keyboard issue once before though, not sure what caused it, but I alt-tabbed real quick out and back into the game and it fixed itself.

I've had the keyboard not working in game. If you bring up your friends list type something to a friend, and then close the window it usually fixes the problem.

EDIT: not sure what causes it, but the windows key still lets you go onto desktop (not sure if ctrl+esc works), and if you task back in that also fixes it.

It happens 100% of the time in replays, and has happened to me a couple times in custom games. I have had the keyboard bug happen numerous times, but spamming keys hitting escape, shift and whatnot seems to fix it.

to fix the bug where you have no minimap in replays you simply have to reinstall the game. at least it worked for me and a couple of others trying.

And I was thinking earlier today that my friend was just being an ass when he said his minimap died during a 3v3. HAHAHA, but seriously wtf Blizz thats not cool ^^.

Yes the black minimap bug has been my bane in several matches so far. It really is impossible to play decently if you dont have a minimap (and cant even send units or jump on it cause every time you click on it, it will just sent the units/position of your screen to the bottom left corner)
I have no idea whats causing it, for me it just seems to occur randomly and then stays until i restart the game.

I've heard that alt-tabbing (even in windowed or full-screen-windowed mode) during loading will cause this. I haven't tested it because not being able to use my minimap gives me aneurysms.

My experience is that I always get black minimap when watching replays. Sometimes I get black minimap in ladder games but is fixed the next game I play for no apparent reason. It sucks playing 1v1 ladder without a minimap.

It's the shift key. I don't know why but every time my keyboard stops working I just press shift once and everything is back to normal.

Don't know if this has been said but if you want to watch replays with the minimap, just drop the replay file ontop of the sc2.exe instead of running the replay from ingame. Don't know about loss of the minimap when actually playing though

dunno if anyone already posted it (if so, sorry): if you drag and drop your replay on the SC2.exe you get a minimap in replays. just a little work around

Never in game, always in replay. That chinese launcher that lets you view replays older than patch 13 also makes path 13 replays work with minimap though. At least for me.

I was getting black minimaps in every single replay but since I did a full reinstall it no longer happens, that doesn't really help pinpoint where the problem might have been though. :o

Would be pretty impossible to play like that

Seems like I am one of the lucky ones, I'm on EU and I've never had either of these problems. I dropped a lot right after the 1.13 release but since then I have not had any problems at all.

I switched AZERTY - QWERTY a few times during the game though. Turns out I was pressing ALT+SHIFT...

The keyboard lock happened to me once when alt+tabing out during searching for opponent and then clicking back on the game loading screen (windowed fullscreen mode) instead of alt+tabing. After I alt+tabed out and back properly the keyboard worked fine.

Dragging replays into the SCII.exe works with minimap 100% of the time for me. I was laddering 2 days ago and had a black minimap in game, then next game it was gone. Didn't press anything, just sat there and it randomly came up :/
