The banshee and the viking are freakin sweet, and trading the wraith and valkarie for those units is a huge boost. Terran has so much to work with from their starports, because even if they don't go air, they can pump medivacs and gain drop and heal abilities for their current army. And they also get good counters to air (marine stim, thor, cheap turrets), while toss is left with using blink to counter air, or building expensive cannons that can go down in packs when their pylon is targeted. I dunno, it just seems like protoss got easier to macro in sc2, and payed for it by losing a lot of strong abilities (like templar tech, arbiters, mobility, and corsair splash). edit: i forgot to mention all the air stuff that has been taken away from toss before the beta. They lost the attacking ability for the mothership, the defensive ability for the mother ship, the overload ability, the tempest, and escorts for carriers. | ||
