Hai guys,
Not sure if this is the right thread or not - but, as a noob, I've always had a problem remembering to use every single Starcraft 2 Hotkey available - I mean, I'd usually freeze mid-game thinking - what's that damn hotkey?
So I googled for a Starcraft 2 Keyboard. I mean, there are keyboards and keyboard sticker layouts available for just about every other program (even for Logic Pro!) so I thought I'd give it a shot: and I found this:

Now, this one was made BEFORE SC2 beta came out. And it still looks PRETTY sick.
But I also wanted a keyboard that would teach me to use the standard Hot keys as they are - so that I don't have to rely on this keyboard ALWAYS - and obviously, this keyboard doesn't allow for that, it has its own hotkey set.
So does anyone know where to find a keyboard/keyset layout/keyboard stickers/ that has Starcraft 2's current Hotkey set?
(And yus, I know this may seem a very noobish thing to ask - but I admit it I'm a noob. And I do want to improve! But in a lazy way. So we're on the same page here). =)

yeah i actually think this keyboard, other than cool, is pretty much useless
Also, what do you mean by "Starcraft 2's current Hotkey set"?

If you want to get serious about playing starcraft 2 and buy a whole new keyboard for it I'd say its better to learn the hotkeys than to look at the keyboard every 10 sec.

Use a normal keyboard, these are just silly fads anyway.
What happens when it breaks and all you have is normal keyboard? Or you go to a LAN cafe etc etc etc.
Playing games is how to get better

I don't even know how that keyboard would help you if you did require to look at keys. There is nothing useful on them.

What the hell is the "return cargo" on C.
Also its a waste of money, everyone knows that cheap keyboards are the best keyboards for starcraft

I think I can get much more money by selling cheap keyboards that have all the hotkeys swapped with keys of contrasting colors (white colored keys on black keyboard & vice versa) for each races.
Or perhaps Protoss with yellow + dim blue (Shakuras color), Zerg with brown + purple & Terran, grey + black?

I got a second keyboard for sc2. Its a cheap standard keyboard. I removed pretty much every hotkey thats unnessesary, wich helps me hitting the right key. Also its really loud, i can hear it trough my headset. Dunno why i like that but it gives me comfort

Use the search function before you post. Im pretty sure there have been 3+ threads on this keyboard.
It makes me even more pissed off cause the keyboard is a piece of crap. There is no reason for it to be on TL except for us to laugh at. Its pretty much a copy of a wow keyboard with a different background and misspelled sc2 names. Why the hell would you want macro keys in sc2 on the right side of the keyboard? Almost every hotkey in sc2 is on the left side of the keyboard for a reason. Im pretty sure i could press "sddddd" in the time it would take to move your hand across the keyboard to hit the zerg marco button (the only macro that makes any kind of sense to me in sc2)

The concept of these keyboards is to cash-in on people to get them to think they'll have a better advantage if they buy the following accessories. Which in theory will not produce any noticable difference.

this keyboard is absolutely useless.
but i got a question, is there a difference in hotkeys in the different country/area versions of sc2? or does everybody have the same hotkeys?
cuz i dont know how anyone could have possible problems remembering the "german" hotkeys. i didnt have to remember anything cuz its sooo logic... didnt have to think about any hotkey after like my third game or something..? plz explain.

I like my logitech G15, it has a stop watch on the LCD screen which is great for timings.

Aren't programmable macros cheating anyway? I know they're definitely not allowed in leagues. So why not just play fair like a man?

the keyboard is nothing special. it wasnt made especially for sc2, rather the company that makes it printed out sc2 stickers for their WoW keyboards (eew!)... its sort of twisted. Im sure every 12yr old will want one for their next bday.

haha, did no-one else notice that F2,F3,F4 are supposed to still work according to that keyboard? that's just teasing me.

OT: I dont have the time to search in such a long thread like you posted (have to play SC2) but can you explain to me why PS2 is better than USB? Isn't USB able to send more signals (key inputs) per second?

USB can send more data per second, but seriously, its a keyboard it doesn't need all that. USB is limited to how many keys can be pressed and can also be interrupted by other USB devices (not sure how, skimmed the article) but PS/2 can have an unlimited amount.

EDIT: IT WORKS! how exciting, that should help my macro stop sucking quite as much.. although the fact that it's now ctrl rather than shift is weird, plus that they've moved it to F5 and up..

So its a regular keyboard, but with really big arrow keys?
Also if you notice the numpad goes 1,2,3 instead of 7,8,9. That would fuck me up. If I even used numpad for groups....which I dont. The top numbers work fine.
Also my buddy has a keyboard for some FPS...(maybe an old BF2 one?) and its literally the exact same thing but with a different sticker.
