Okay i'm sorry if this has already been posted, i searched for it but couldn't find anything.
I'm sure im not the only one who thinks the new terran themes are freakin awesome and i'd love to learn them on guitar. I'm not skilled enough and i don't have the time to figure them out accurately, has anyone else done this or found the tabs on the net?
Please link me or send me the tabs i'd really appreciate it
nice! they seem to work well thanks so much for uploading that its kinda hard to make them completely accurate, ive got some pretty high quality mp3s of the themes but the guitars get overshadowed a little by the other instruments in the orchestra in places but what you've got is excellent
I just want to learn those few small licks at 2:00 to 2:17. They're so awesome, I love catchy licks like that. But I honestly cannot learn by ear whatsoever. I really really wish I could but it's just so hard. :/
If someone could tab those few seconds that'd be extremely awesome.
some of the terran music in sc2 is very nice :D however i really hate the voice that does the 'not enough supply depots.' imo all 3 races sound alot worse
A bit off topic but though I love SC2 Terran themes, they sound way too peaceful.. More like bedtime music. SC1's Terran theme was much more epic and hyping.
Heya Scotty, I just decided to tab that small segment by ear and I've pasted it below.

Yeap, thats roughly the notes used. Just feel free to add in the bends, vibratos, and slides to add flavor to the song. Of cuz, delay and distortion would get you the sound.

I figured out the solo at 2:00, I'm gonna try and have a go at tabbing it out over the next few days, although my beta key just arrived so I might be a bit lazy with it - here's me playing it sorry the sync is a little bit out.
Well didnt really see anything for bass tabs, I did some checking on the 2nd terran theme (the one with the slap/tap bass solo). Mind you, based on these posts I can see a lotta awesome guitarists, Im still relatively new at playing so pls mind teh newbie The basic riff is similar to the guitar riff, with slight deviations, it basically uses E, F#, A on the E string. The part where he fills it in just goes to the octave of D (12th fret on the D string) I know this is a bit vague, ill try post a vid later on today, didnt take too long to get it. I may be wrong here, my pitch isnt perfect and I lack proper headphones so if theres anything behind the drums I wouldnt have picked up. As for the bass solo.... Its a lot of slapping and tapping, way over my head atm. I can probably tab that but itll be very inaccurate (all the more reason for me to stop being so lazy and get around to practicing my tapping ;_;)
That would be cool if we could find few people with this thread to make a team work on the terran theme part 4. One drummer, one bassist, one or two violins, probably three/four/five guitars Each person play his own part at home then we could mix it (i can do the mix) then we would have the Teamliquid terran theme part 4. If you want to apply for this hypotetical project >>>
Solo accoustic arrangement of one of the Terran themes.
enjoy.
Hey man! That was pretty cool!
Is it standard tuning? I've gotta play this.
Drop D tuning - D A D G B E
Nice, thank you! I've been messing around in drop D quite a lot recently so that's an other reason to watch your vid a couple more times and learn it.
A lot of the stuff in there would actually be easier to play in standard tuning, but there are one or two things in there that require the low D, so it's kind of a pain, especially because my guitar doesn't like drop D tuning that much (you can hear the frets buzzing in some parts)
ok I realize this is old but I figured I would comment on the bass solo being a bassist myself. The instrument isn't a 'bass' persay, but it is called a Chapman Stick, it is credited in the end credits of the game and its pretty obvious as this instrument isn't really used but for tapping style midi effects
