The main problem I see with the ctrl+click is that you can not issue move orders while assigning hotkeys. Since the assigning is done with the keyboard and move is done with the mouse you could do them at the same time. But now you have to do them one after another... and that is annoying as heck.

Don't press ctrl while right clicking. Don't blame the game for your sloppy control.

it was annoying at first but once i learned what was causing the problem it was easy to stop pressing ctrl + right click , its just an old bw habit lol

i was always wondering, why my units sometimes are going back to attack while i was 100% sure i gave them a move command.

they definitively should remove this.

I can't believe they remove it completely in patch 9... It was one of the best facilities for microing the game... On a 1024x768 (non-wide) resolution and in a battlefield with a dispersed army and with some thors in it, you don't have enough space to fast microing an attack-retreat with a ground A-move without risking to select your own units... and to see at the same time your opponent army. Just unbelievable change...

you can see the poll or?
most ppl dont want that.. so you are on a lonely position..
btw you can do the same with just hittang "a" and click

If the reason for that choice was to require higher skill than just Ctrl-click (when you microing attack-retreat) and not because you can't control your own fingers independently, I should not complain, but in this thread seems the majority voted Yes because it was an "issue", not because was "too easy to micro".
Therefore, Blizz should put an option for that!

Pardon me for bumping this thread but it seemed the most appropriate for my question.

Has the CTRL + Right Click = Attack Move command been removed from the game entirely?? I've read a lot of complaints about it in this thread as well as in another on TL about the same topic.

Personally I'd completely forgotten about this 'feature' until I saw this this YouTube guide about the Best Defence achievement. About 5 min 10 secs into the video he says something about moving out with Control Right Clicking to engage the enemy.

I can't seem to replicate it so maybe he just meant A-move.

Anyways it made me think that this would actually be extremely useful for me at least. After a lot of fiddling around with a good keyboard setup I've started playing with the (right-handed) Grid layout - even though I'm a left-handed player - and it feels very nice and comfortable.

Unfortunately A-move is on the T key and I find it a bit problematic for my pinky to hit it accurately and smoothly enough. But with my thumb on the CTRL key it'd be a perfect match if I could just hit it and then right-click for the equivelant of an A-move.

Is it gone now because of the vocal complaints about it and isn't there some kind of action I can do to help me with this issue?

+1. I loved ctrl+right click attack. At the moment I am also playing with grid and it seems that the finger I use the most is my pinkie, which is painful and not fast enough.
