But what I´d really like to see Sean do a daily about is how, when and why to do different cheeses. I realise that playing a perfect macro game is the ultimate way to play but there are a lot of different things you can do to take a quick win and winning is what fucking matters. I think it´s best if you mix in some cheese once in a while but how do you make the most out of those games?

If you've been watching the Dailies, since, pretty much the start, you'll know that Day9 is NOT an advocate of just winning. In almost all of the Newbie Tuesdays he's done, he constantly reminds beginning players NOT to take a 95% chance to win early but opt for a 100% chance to win later. I HIGHLY doubt that he would even consider making a daily about how to cheese. That would just be insulting.

I know, that´s a reason for why I´d like to see it. ![]() Cheese happens all the time at the highest level of play and to become a better gamer you should try and do what the pros do. That´s like what the daily is about. It would probably not be a good topic for newbie tuesday though but for players at a higher level. And it would probably bring some lulz ![]()

Also, i just want to thank day 9 if he ever reads this for doing a protoss centred daily its helped me already go from a never win PvZ to win half PvZs. ![]()

One was about dealing with (and punishing) a fast expansion, and another was on different 4 warpgate styles.

Even suggesting a daily on cheese should quickly descend into an argument to define cheese. On one side, there's blind cheese (6 pool), and on the other, potentially responsive cheese, such as a cannon rush/pylon wall in response to 15 hatch. I'd imagine most viewers wanting to know "how to cheese" want to know the combatex certified blind cannon rush, or how to blind 6 rax alll-in, etcetera. I can't see that happening, though I could see a daily featuring some "responsive cheese"... but the word "Cheese" would never be used. It'd just be a normal daily. Though it would be interesting to see a daily on something like "The merits of cheese in low-level play" detailing an early "cheese" build, how to execute it, and how very important key concepts of basic macro fit in to the build to make it successful. Knowing how to make two hatcheries, two queens and pure speedlings off ~20 workers is quite different than knowing why it works, how mineral saturation works, how naturally spawning larva works, how injects work, how the timings of spawning pool/queen/hatch can be adjusted and what effects they have etc etc etc. There's a lot to learn from certain blind cheeses if you're actually using them not to cheese, but to learn. It sounds retarded and I'm sure people will object, but if you KNOW how a simple build -should- look like when executed by someone good and can benchmark that directly against your own play, it should be easier to pick up on where you're falling short, be it in mineral line saturation, quickness of injects, pool/gas timing or diligence in spending larva before it hits 3. I mean, some coaches reccomend simple rush builds to learn from until gold league, purely because they teach the player basic mechanics without requiring them to think at all about strategy, only execution.

Thats what I have told all my friends who are getting into sc2. I showed them 3 rax, 4 gate and the roach long off two base specifically. Learn basic timings and remember to always make workers. The more you win the closer you are to doing it right. You cant do a 4gate properly without making 16 probes for minerals and 3 for gas and making them without missing a single one.
