The regeneration heals 1 hp with a certain delay and the first point healed is exactly when the damage bringing you below maxHP happends. The timer is stopped again once you reach max hp. Correct me if I'm wrong.

FBH vs Best and/or Bisu awesomeness needs to be casted. And they're pretty educational too, IMO, in terms of PvT strategic plays. But mostly because they're awesome.

If the unit is already at 50%, then the recovery timer is already in-motion. So it will recover 1 HP when the timer goes off, not instantaneously. The whole "1hp recover instantly" thing only matters with full health mutas, regardless of the bounces.

i don't think it works like that...i remember day9 once saying that everytime you hit a zerg unit it recoveres 1 hp...no timer implied like in the case of shields....i may have missunderstood.

I'd actually be really interested in a comparison of that winner's league jaedong vs flash game to their game 3 on odd eye in the finals. It seemed like jaedong opened up very similarly (an opening build that seems less suited for match point to me) but decided to transition into lurkers instead of straight to ultras.
Also, both matches show jaedong getting into a very strong position with a style very contrary to the current norm.
