You also feel the pressure to fast expand for more gas, or you'll end up building more mineral-only units (Hellions for Terran) than you really want.
Now, if only my Supply Depots could float around veeery slowly and the atmosphere would be complete.
The zerg in me can't help but feel alittle statified inside from this, now if you just wasnt allowed to wall off either it would be truely complete.

Ah indeed, that should've been part of the restrictions also! And I'm a Random player, not really taking sides, just found it funny how a Terran with some limitations felt so different.

This isn't fun in the slightest. The thing about the Zerg and Toss challenges were that they were interesting, brought about some awesome variations to relatively standard play, and most of all, were fun.
I've actually started to incorporate no-queens in ZvT and ZvP depening on their build, and the carrier play is extremely powerful against any player who doesn't apply super early pressure.
The Terran challenge is just.. rediculously trashy. I'd be perfectly fine with no marauder/tank, or even something like marines, but no infantry upgrades. Infantry is just THAT necessary IMO. So if you can't do it, why do you even bother? Its even ridiculous to cry about it. IMO.
It's mostly attempting to inform Day[9] that this "funday" isn't "fun."
Also I still try, because I'm apparently masochistic.

i'm really disappointed that next week's funday monday isnt some kind of ghost-play or maybe even a nuke-orientated condition =/
|
The point of Funday Monday is to break away from the assumptions that are already being ingrained into the metagame, and figure out things that aren't obvious from the offset. Fast nuke isn't all that hard to pull off, and it doesn't require you to go far enough outside of a few well established builds.
Granted, I've seen plenty of Hellion/Thor, Thor/Banshee, Banshee/Viking builds that fit into this Monday's criteria, but I think the object is to see how people can defend without the restricted units rather than how they can attack without them.

Does anyone know where you can get the Meat Puppet Soundtrack (The album Day9 played before Daily 189 with the song that has "Surrender to the Plasm" it it) in any way, shape or form?

Yes, if only I could convince my CC to poop out something that can shoot air, have 175 hp and 1 armor, and heal every unit I have.

Now, if only my Supply Depots could float around veeery slowly and the atmosphere would be complete. QFT. In the game I did win I felt so ridiculously vulnerable it was unsettling. I took a guess at being 7 minutes in and my unit mix consisted of 4 reapers in a bunker and 1 Thor and I threw down an expansion. All I kept repeating was "please don't push" over and over again as I anxiously tossed down my starport and started cursing my SCVs for gathering gas too slowly. About the only macro oriented thing I did right all game (winging it was harder than I thought) was continually train SCVs so the expansion started returning quickly (and at one point I saw like 3000 minerals and a ludicrous amount of gas...oh ya loads of unspent resoruces ftw lol) but my god I don't like that "am I going to get pushed and ruined any second now" feeling until almost 10 or 12 minutes in when I started to relax a bit.

welcome to being a zerg, im so happy for this challange, finaly you terran players get to feel what it's like.

Its not so difficult, You have a few openings, against zerg you can do the rax reaper into banshee and do some thor drops, if you see you have alot of extra cash then reactor hellions. That deals with alot of stuff fairly easily.
If your against protoss then gas before barracks straight to factory, build a reactor on the barracks float to factor and do 2x hellion into either multi factory or multi starport play with maybe some ghost.
Your main assest without marines and marauders is harrassment and speed. Your mineral dump is hellions. As MM is usually the core of an army you will need to be fast and be aggressive, make sure you are not suiciding units because you usually wont be able to stand a direct engagment until you have multiple thors/tanks with a SCV repair crew backing them up.
The biggest problem I would see terran having is cheap early anti air. Of course you can swap your reactor factory for reactor starport if you notice VR or muta..
But honestly this requirement requires turtle aggression, tanks & vikings make you unpushable and you can just slowly expand while sending out hellions, reapers, banshees, thor drops to go harrass.
