2 more things he needs to know:
Look at the Compass bar while in skyrim to see nearby places of interest, don't think he knows, and only finds new places by accident or quests. Also he's having major mana problems every fight. He should take note of the mana cost in Spell descriptions as well, rather than only the damage. +Mana regen is pretty terrible, in-combat mana regen is just god awful even with +300% mana regen. Instead get "_______of Destruction/magic-school-of-choice"
granted as I haven't of course watched everything, just bits here and there while eating/waiting around, he might know some of this already but I really doubt it.. after skimming over the last couple vids
and maybe most importantly he should remember his original vision of playing like a man and not save-reloading every time things don't go ideally. er and finally, Impact perk trivializes most of the game, it's seriously broken. I think he should continue to avoid getting it, but that's his choice + 20% faster level????? I'm level 38 and didn't know about that :/ there are 3 stones (called the guardian stones) when you leave Helgen. Warrior, Thief and Mage stone. They don't make you level 20% faster really, but they make you level the subset of skills you'd assign those 3 classes 20% faster. Now if only the Thief stone would include some kind of Dagger skill and a Bow skill (Bow counts as Warrior, and Daggers are sort of the red-headed stepchild of 1h weapons :p) they'd be perfect and the only stones i'd use at all :D
Dagger gets leveled with increasing 1-handed skill. which means you can dagger all you want, but the damage is not that great. But the thief stone makes sneaking level faster, which results in an earlier 15x damage on dagger sneakattacks. That will make daggers usefull again.

Way far to the west is a stone called the lover stone, it increases the rate you get ALL Skills by 15%. It's northeast of markath

something is strange about daggers. Go enchant +1h weapons on all your gear and then compare how a sword changes to how a dagger changes and you will see what i mean.
Yes using a dagger increases 1h weapons, but for some reason they don't get any bonus damage from the relevant buffs. And thanks for the lover stone mention, but i usually stick to thief until i have sneak at 100 and then switch to warrior or mage. Seems better to me

It's northeast of markath My first impression was that this would undoubtedly be the best stone - it's only slightly worse than the warrior stone for warrior skills, but it's improvement for ALL skills. Perfect! Only... leveling is based purely on your skill progression. This means that the lover stone is literally a +15% leveling speed stone. 15% more leveling speed isn't that much of a big deal, it's kind of boring, and am I really in a rush to level up?
I then looked at the "steed stone" (I think), which had been my second choice; +100 carry weight and no movement penalty from armour! I can run around in full heavy armour at the speed I would if I was naked! This not only means I am more effective in combat (I can dodge enemy attacks / spells / flee much easier), but it ALSO means I get places faster, and therefore can get more stuff done. Furthermore, the +100 carry weight means I spend less time maxed out going "hmm, which item should I drop, hmm, I don't know" and instead can spend my time getting even MORE stuff done. >=15% more stuff done, perhaps? I think so! That means I'm probably leveling up as fast as I would with the lover stone, but I'm also getting a much better game experience!

daggers are silent. swords are not. this might change with increased sneak level, i'm not playing a thief character, but daggers definitely have pros and cons vs swords.

Will the vods of the daily at NASL be on bliptv as usual? Or will NASL charge for the vods as with the tourny?

Actual dailies coming soon?
Skyrim is great and all, but I need an actually challenging game to watch!

Hey Day[9], could u please do a Daily about ZvZ for noobies, because I don't really understand what to do in this Matchup.

Is there any way to access NASL day9 daily? D:

Yeah I would love a nice and updated ZvZ from you.
I hate this matchup atm.

I think you should do a daily on Phoenix's in PvP. I've been using them a lot and it's really paying off. Can't find many games with them being used though

Thanks dude!
I came to this thread looking for the name of the song. Day9's taste in music is sick.

Hi everyone.
I've been sent here from sc2 general with this, so here it is again:
I've been having this on my mind for a while now and it is getting close to another full hundred of Day9 Dailies. Today I believe it was #381 so #400 should be coming out soon. I'm not expecting Day9 to do something super special in it and I'm sure a good daily will satisfy everyone including me, but if somehow, mr 9 decides to do something fancy, what would you like it to be?
Maybe something special has already been planned, maybe not, maybe some idea will somehow reach Day9 and he'll decide to go with it - I don't know, but I want to find out and I'm curious of your ideas
Post some ideas, we will pick the best ones and make a poll after a while. Just don't go too crazy
Example: Sean streams his ladder game(s). Wouldn't that be awesome?
|
Ok question - I know almost everyone here (myself included) loves Day9, thinks he's absolutely awesome and great for the community, no question there.
How much value do you think the daily provides for decent players though (High Masters / GM's)? Do you think they are worth watching for educational value or is it primarily focused on the lower end of the scale?
