Maybe it's just me , but the thors and the queens actually looks more thin than in WoL, am I right ? If yes, is there other units that are less fat than WoL ?
Just wanted to know, thanks !

Just wanted to know, thanks ! ![]() I took some screenshots to confirm this, I believe it's not the unit sizes (there are a few units that changed sizes, ultras thors etc), but overall the view/aspect ratio/zoom are a bit different from WoL to HotS. I noticed it right away as Zerg, on the Queens as you say. But the drones are smaller too. It gives the game a much more BW feel in my opinion, which is awesome. I was actually hoping the WoL patch has this feature since it looks better imo, and from the early screenshots of 2.0.4 it seems they did bring it over. Here are two examples: WoL HotS If you save those screenshots, and then resize the windows so you have the Queens or Spawning pools right next to each other, you can see a big difference.

They didn't mentioned the other units though. Maybe they change the camera angle...

There should even be potential for proteam decals etc. for a player to display imo.

Blizzard's way of fixing the visual side of the deathball issue without affecting gameplay, I guess... better than nothing. Edit: But for queens it might be because they had a new queen model to introduce. If that's coming with release, then maybe they've adjusted the model scale in the data of the game to fit that model properly. They may still be using the new model and just haven't added the asset in beta (a lot of assets are missing from beta such as many doodads in the editor.)

I find comparing the queen against the extractor makes it more clear, the hots queen is TINY

I'm actually surprised that we still don't know how you get the queen skin. At first everyone thought it was the default new skin, but then it wasn't when the actual beta went live. I thought it would be a pre-order bonus, but that is for the Electric Ultralisk. So it has to be a new unlockable skin, but the only zerg ones are Overlord / Zergling / Ultralisk at the moment. Hopefully it's unlocked at level 30, that would be cool

Can OP confirm if its on all heights? As I mentioned in my earlier post (and provided screenshots), it's not just the Queen, there's slight differences on everything. The spawning pool is smaller. The zoom, angle, and aspect ratio changed. The angle difference is actually most noticable on the Queen and hatch. WoL is more directly overhead, HotS is more angled. Aspect ratio is wider. Even if you just load up a game and look at the Drones, things look diff from WoL to HotS. You can see the battlefield better and it's not as cluttered.

Great thing imo. Unit radius did get larger. It was .875 I think before and is now 1.0. That's completely unrelated to the model size, though.

Source: www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=394643 The campaign introduces the lore of there being a variety of queen species. In our missions, the traditional multiplayer queen was replaced with a Swarm Queen, which has had its model previewed in previous battle reports.

Edit - Queen from 0.9 to 0.8. I don't think of any these (besides the Tempest) was mentioned in any HotS patch. Marine is unchanged (1 to 1). Zealot also unchanged (both 0.9 in both versions). Ultralisk 0.85 in both versions. So some units did get change in scaling. Take note scaling isn't the same as radius. The Thor for example should take up more space in HotS than in WoL (despite being scaled smaller in art) due to the radius increase. Radius increase actually helps Thor against Banelings and other AoE though.
