Since most people are now switching over to Heart of the Swarm and a lot of people are lost as far as build orders go, I'm starting a little series where we take a look at progamers and their build orders.
This is the first HotS build order video and it's about IdrA's build and strategy in Zerg versus Zerg.
If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to post them in the chat and I'll try my best answering them.
Should be useful, I'll try it out some time today.
I'm also looking for a standard non-muta ZvZ build order. So far I've just been trying to take a third base asap so that by the time mutas come, I can have spores set up there and at least have my hydra den started. If all goes well and I can saturate my third, I can usually win quite easily with a timing attack with my first few infestors, when I have +2 attack and a mostly hydra based roach/hydra army. However, my build's not very refined so I sometimes lose my third to lings, or mutas if my early game was messed with.
Just some thoughts. Not sure how many videos you make or if you take requests, but a sturdy ZvZ build w/o mutas would be most helpful.

I've been doing the same, thing is that when they simply expand twice or go for ling bling muta instead they can still easily win. You're not really able to pressure them in any way whatsoever. Mutalisks seem much better.
I gotta say that ZvZ will be far less dynamic in HOTS due to heavy Muta play. Infestors will be far less useful against Mutas in the new matchup. Everyone will be doing this build, or some minor variation thereof, which is the opposite of what Blizzard wants. I dunno, I'm just not as excited for HOTS as I think I should be...
Thanks for the vids though, definately a great starter tutorial for mid-level Zergs.

Try out going muta in every single one of your games and forget about Hydras and infestors for now. It certainly has upped my winrate when I stopped making other ground units work.
For anyone interested, I also made a ZvT guide for HotS now. Tried to listen to the feedback and make it a little bit more straight forward. Hope it's better.
