I would assume like with all build time nerfs it was because of a blink timing they didnt like (either in PvZ or PvT). I dont know about hots meta but blink is kinda strong in WoL at early points so who knows.

I have never been happy about the spell works, and every time I see Blizzard is changing fungal, I get let down when it's not a change to the freeze. I'm not saying I agree with the mechanic, hell, I don't even like infestors, but the idea that the freeze mechanic makes them imbalanced is wrong. Also, with infested terrans being so weak I'm really not sure that infestors will be very good, in zvp anyways. The fungal rooted the army, but in most scenarios in high level games, infested terrans were used just as heavily as fungal in battles. The freezing of units is BY FAR the biggest issue, and the biggest complaint about fungal. Have you been living under a rock for the past 6+ months?

Why are people using the word "is" instead of "could be" or "potentially be" when discussing any of these balance changes? It's not live yet, people.
With that said, I can understand either projectile speed OR range increase (I like the speed increase) but both does seem a little OPness. But all the reactions are so LOLworthy.

Infestor is a terrible unit. Fungle is a horrendous spell.
Make Infestors a stronger version of BW queens and add BW Defilers. Fungles should slow units and deal the same damage. Blizzard insisting on the current fungle effects will lead to infestors being overpowered or underpowered. Blizzard needs to identify the role they want the infestors to take instead of making arbitrary adjustments to range and damage of fungles. Burrowed movement should be an upgrade.

Anyway, the widow mine change makes it kinda worthless at defending harass, making it an even more offensive unit.
Fungal change is the opposite of what this game needs. Just redesign it and call it done.
Medivac change is fine, might see more BC usage because of it.

I hope they can find a place for infestors to be used as a support unit where zerg would have maybe a few but not 1 million like in wings. Seems like they are pretty deadset on not trying a slow though so maybe the projectile will help. The trouble being that now the projectile is so fast you can't avoid it, unless you have the most godly reaction times anyone has seen in this world. Oh and it also has 10 range now...
How do you know it's so fast you can't avoid it? You haven't even seen it yet. Them saying 10 > 15 they might as well be saying Glargble > Figglydodee, it makes no sense until you see it in play.

I'm just going to assume that blink + mothership core all ins were too strong, it just sucks that Blink won't be a viable opener in PvP anymore. By the time you get Blink out you're going to die because you invested in tech and they invested in units ( in theory )

The problem here is that the people who defend the infestor buffs want infestors to be a core unit. Something you can mass and reliably win games with.
But infestors should not be a core unit, it should be support for the real core zerg army.

this looks like a solid patch. Terran buffs were necessary and the infestor buff was needed because it was so bad in hots. blink seems weird but lets see how it all works out

Such a huge fungal buff, mind = blown. A spell so easy to use, doing sick damage, freezing every single unit...
Infestors basicly counter every single unit in the game, and I would be fine with this if ghosts get their old snipe back. Reason for the snipe nerf was that it countered every zerg unit..
