I think David Kim should make Fungal kill everything in one hit and have same range as tempest since tempest are out ranging them! Then fungal will be balanced! But seriously... i think blizzard "internal testing team" plays WoW instead of testing sc2.


Dustin Browder himself did say his favorite thing to do is make WoW quests.

WoW quests aren't exactly known for being engaging through story and gameplay.


i didnt think my respect for DB could drop anymore before i read this... this guy is just too good to be true... hes like a movie villain at this point...

It seems like there was almost no thought put into these changes. Terran's only new units made pointless in all matchups. Infestors become as good or better than in WOL.

They are better. 15 speed is very fast to dodge so should be considered insta cast. 10 range is 1 range upgrade on top of the blatant imbalance we have in WOL. So, infestors are better. And so are zerg. My hope for blizzard's balance team coming to their senses is fading again once more. GSL blizzard cup - ZvP since RO8. So is the normal GSL. And so will be ladder. And so will be everything when HOTS comes out - ZvP.

Do you really believe so? Is it the reason why we never see mass ghost or mass ht vs zerg but see mass infestor IN EVERY matchup? Is it some reverse psychology of pros who swore to never use mass ghost or mass high templar cause they are super strong?

What would be really cool is if they kept the range but decreased the speed back to what it was or even further. Would make fungal growth more of a opportunity spell based on skill rather than being straight up guaranteed damage.

I don't think the Widow Mine changes is good enough on its own, maybe they should buff the splash damage to compensate for the single target damage loss. And even with the damage reduction I don't think that Banshee play will still be viable in TvT with well placed Widow Mines.

Caduceus Reactor change sounds plausible, since they were made so that lategame Bio become stronger anyway.

I don't think it's neccesary to buff Fungal range that much, just revert the range back to 9, no need to add an extra 1 range compared to the Fungal range nerf.

No, the range was jus decreased to 8 in wol, I don't see any reason to make it 10 in hots. At best, increase the speed by 1 or 2, but 10 range (+2 radius) is beyond ridiculous.

Honestly the speed upgrade on medivacs sounds plain retarded. Just make it a direct movement speed upgrade instead of an ability gimmick.

Medivacs used to be a lot faster before they got nerfed early on WoL.

Mostly because the maps consisted of steppes of war.

Make it faster than bio and any excitement if a pursuing army can catch medivacs will be gone completely. Thats why the speed boost is bad as well ...

Every tactic needs to involve RISKS and a speed boost is all about reducing risks and thus fun for the viewer. Players wont really line their bases with turrets now either since they havent done that yet (maybe the KeSPA players will, but not the SC2 pros) ...
