Because tech is hard. Did do you remember when Amazon's severs self destructed and took out like half of the internet? It took them over a week to fix that.

They outrun and outrange mutas, yes, but the amount of mutas is wildly disproportionate to the amount of phoenix on the field in any realistic situation (if Protoss goes phoenix, Zerg does not go muta, and if Zerg goes muta, Protoss does not have the production to get enough phoenix and fleet beacon + range upgrade to properly counter the mutas). except theoretically 1 phoenix can kill 50 mutas even before the range buff. Please learn the game Cool, theory! You micro your little heart out. And while you read what Tyler said on the subject (and in more detail elsewhere, so I'll leave you to search for it), write less. The only reason why phoenix didn't work vs mutas was because you could put 1-2 corruptors into your muta ball, and then suddenly your 1 phoenix can't kill 50 mutas anymore.
What? That never was the problem. You could simply micro around Corruptors due to Corruptors moving slower than Mutas. Corruptor DPS vs Phoenix is terrible anyway. The strength of Mutas has always been their speed and harass potential. By having them accompanied by Corruptors takes that strength away. Nobody was using 1 phoenix to kill 50 mutas in a real game.
I actually like the Phoenix change because it might actually make them be somewhat useful late game rather than flying paperweights.

They had similar problems with 2.0.1, so it's not surprising to me. That last patch was delayed due to hardware problems iirc.

Phoenixes are incredibly good against mutalisks. They beat mutas for cost even in a straight up a-move fight, and when microed properly each phoenix can kill many times its own cost in mutas. Yes, if the zerg invests about five times as much into mutalisks than you do into phoenixes then he'll win anyway, if you only use the phoenixes you spent 20% as much on. But say Zerg goes for, I dunno, 20 mutalisks, counting the cost of the spire that's 2200/2200. You can afford three stargates and 12 phoenixes for about that much, which gives you rapid phoenix production and will shred 20 mutalisks without any trouble at all. In WoL that would then leave you with three stargates sitting around doing nothing, but this is HotS where you can then transition into tempests (or maybe even carriers if their new microability makes them viable, but I doubt that) or make a bunch of oracles and void rays, assuming their recent changes make them viable.

zerg became superboring now without the ultra charge on the other hand, the Terran changes are sure looking very itneresting, way to try to make Terran a much more of a dynamic race.

Because the skill-less will always complain since they turn everything into crap but don't realise it was their own fault .

how is an aggressive mid-game with better options to go on offense with units like Hydras and Swarm Hosts, leading into a more varied T3 composition incorporating Ultras and Vipers, "superboring" compared to the WoL standard of passively defending and teching up into an Infestor/Broodlord deathball? If anything, WoL Zerg is one of the most boring races ever, and the changes are badly needed.

FUCK YEAAAAAA
terran = happy
overall i think it's an awesome patch for all races!

QFT. Who needs Burrow Charge when you can send in your 150-health Vipers and Abduct your 35-damage Ultras into your opponent's deathball?

I'm so glad your name is what it is after I read that comment.
It's 30 health... It's not going to change anything about flying your Vipers directly into a stimmed bioball.

The best way to use vipers to pull ultra in opponent army is to stack them with overlord before going. This way, overlord are doing damage buffers and you are pretty sure your vipers do not act like suicide machines

I'm seriously rofling at anyone who thinks that is even remotely possible.
