Well, somebody have any tips ? I constantly get rapped no matter what I do. And it's only hard..... not brutal. What to do ? I have not seen anything on youtube regarding to my situation except maybe marine only... and it was on brutal but it seems like attack forces there WERE MUCH LESS than in my case.
I have all mercs, all arsenal upgrades. I have all zerg researches (all on the right side), all protoss one (first weapons, then just same, but on other side, so 3 on left, 2 on right side, which means, gas auto +25%, SV, tech lab).
I best so far it seems was battlecruisers. But they slow.... vikings die fast due to mutas. I have phantoms, so BroodLords are pain in the ass. I have upgraded bunkers, and lot of tanks with all upgrades, but I still get owned. after kerrigan approach she always kill my defense. And if not I cannot kill Levifan. And if yes my vikings die in that battle all of them mostly ...Eh...so annoying to see all that videos with nydus worms with constant use of nova and pack of banshees. Yeah...you are strategy masters lol Go for the real hard deal!
I need to use Nova one time also cause it needed for achievment. I also did like 2 CC from start and protect ass of base with turrets cause they attacked there as well.
If you didn't get the hive mind emitter then start over. You really can't beat the air campaign on brutal without it.
If you did get it then just mass hive mind emitters and MC as many muta/brolord/corruptors as you can click on. Remember to drop a few behind your minerals because air waves come from that direction too.
Edit 1: Oh, if you did skip hive mind emitter but went for ghosts instead of spectres you can mass ghosts for sniping air, get tanks to take care of ground, and a ball of medic marines to kill kerrigan. But if you have neither ghosts nor hive mind emitters then just give up IMO.
Edit 2: If you do ghosts you need to have +100 specialist energy research, permanent cloak upgrade, and probably the other ghost upgrade whatever it is. Save the artifact for when the overlords come.
I do not need brutal, I need hard for now, and I may use Nova once. I have psi disruptor though. Yep, I see how it works. But Blizzard probably make it passable anyway They need to allow air with psi disruptor
On Brutal, hell... I will use Nova ASAP everytime lol
Also ground forces are still very big! I destroyed them WTH they are so big still, baneling, hydras, zerlings... I killed you all within worms. They send me 50/50 air ground, while on nydus worms version may pack of mutas broodlords for all game.

If you did air with psi disruptors (useless) and no ghosts then you are screwed. Did you at least get the splash upgrade for vikings? If so mass vikings with marine support might work. I was able to get most of the way through hard with just lots of turrets, tanks and bunkers on both entrances, and mass vikings for the leviathan/broodlords. Medic marine takes care of mutas pretty well.
Yep, look like it may work, simply I used build of base from nydus worms lol, cause failed first time, that's why mutas eat me in end with help of Broodlords. Missle turrets are really help, much better than viking e.g. and I did them only around Nova along with flame turrets.

That's actually the worst thing you can do! Only use it on Brutal once Kerrigan is approching and only after she's chosen to go through either the top or the bottom path.
Just follow Nam771 on YouTube for his mass Tanks for ground plus Marines & Medics for Kerrigan setup and it's incredible easy - even on Brutal. Actually doing the Achievement is much harder than playing it normally on Brutal lol.
I got mine following Nam771's guide on YouTube (the same setup as on Brutal) but saved the NOVA for the very end. It was a really though fight which cost a lot of grief and a lot of reloading at the end. But eventually I finally managed to get a bit lucky to beat it and get that damned Achievement
Man, I realised I don't need mass tanks there. It's not nydus worms. 2-3 from each side maybe 2 near Nova is enough. Then like 4 bunkers AND 4 turrets for each side and like 3 tors, torsk kills mutas faster and easier than vikings. Yep I may did that on hard already if not achievment.

LOL sorry man missed the AIR part in the title! You can slap me silly if you want to for such a bad oversight My bad...
Im having a similar issue, but I'm just trying to beat it on Hard. Im going after the Hurry Up, Its Raid Night achievement and just need to finish All In. Since Im going for that, I skipped a bunch of missions so I dont have all the units or all the tech upgrades.
I chose Air (Regretting it now), have the psi distrupter, no ghosts/spectres/thors, but I do have Viking and Banshee splash.

That's pretty wrong, really.
I did the air version on brutal, and I just made a crapload of vikings, tanked and bunkered each choke, and it was quite easy, didn't even have to use the artifact once.
Did it just now, on Hard with achievment, just like on Video, Tors + Air-turrets really made the choice, as well as more microing now to producing more vikings (including mercs, they are rulezz) and upgrades (attack especially), like 2 times of 4 killed kerigan with marines, can be improved
Used Nova once on Levifan, he have like 2500 hp on Hard, so about 1000 already minus, then like 25 vikings, several seconds and he gone
On expert though my best for now 78%, much more harder.....but I have seen guy who did it without MC or PD even...mostly bunkers (LOTS) and marines... and gosts, but I have no gosts ( Also I can use specters ability on Kerigan, main issue that on Normal you can allow her destroy defense everytime, attack waves not so big and strong...on Hard, you can allow it 1-2 times...on Brutal you better not allow it all cause you will get raped in next 1-2 waves
Also big pain ... atack in back fof base, they are like 2 times more and stronger and may kill all SCV's and then you also may quit just atm, your economy will fail so all your tactics as well.
you dont need the mc tower to do this. All you need to do is have a row of perdition turrets, then bunkers with marines in them, and tanks behind that to cover the ground. you can also get some goliaths if you want. what is really mandatory though (at least how I did it) was the vikings. I had 2 control groups of vikings, splitting them up to take care of the brood lords. I think those are the main issue. in the beginning of the mission make sure to spam scvs hard so you have no resource problems later. make sure to build a line of turrets on the platform of the artifact, in the back of your base, and sides where the flyers come. as long as you efficiently deal with the broodlords this shouldn't be a problem.
I did it with Psi Emitters, Tanks, Vikings, Perdition Turrets, Bunker Turrets, and Air. Not that hard. 30 Vikings takes care of everything 3 bunkers with 3/3 Marines, 8 SCVs, 2 Perdition Turrets, and 3 Missile Turrets (and a couple tanks on the Artifact platform) can quite easily hold the chokes. 6-7 Vikings on each side to take care of the Boordlords, 5 behind your minerals for the rear attacks, and the rest roaming to reinforce whatever you need. A big ball of Medic Marine on the platform is great, and a bunch of Perdition & Missile Turrets around your base to deal with the stuff that crashes in from the sky.
Just use vikings, turrets, a few tanks, and medic/marine to deal with Kerrigan. I generally found the air version easier than nydus worm one, because you can land all your vikings to help take Kerrigan down even faster... once you get a large number of vikings, there's really not much that can take you down.
I just made mass medic/marine + some vessels with a small group of vikings to pick off broodlords and the giant air thing. Broodlords on hard aren't really a threat since there aren't enough of them to really kill anything and medic healing is imba.
Looks like tors are waste on brutal, and I really need to bring more vikings to each side, are you using tanks ? there are still some solid ground forces there...

Yeah you can lool.
Seriously, every mission in the game is beatable with solid play. I beat that mission on air with no gimmicks. Mass Vikings, 5 tanks on each side, wall off with 5 filled bunkers+ repairing SCV, lategame, dumb minerals spamming missile turrets on around the turret. Beat it with 1 usage on hard, with 1% hp left on the turret.
When Kerrigan comes unload bunkers and attack. Use Artifact at 75-95, second to last wave.
Did in on hard with air without using artifact once. I had some Hivemind emitters, but didnt use them that much. Vikings with AoE Upgrade just own the Zerg air and I held the base entrances with bunkers + a few tanks. Other than that really just lots of vikings.

Basically mostly vikings but in role of turrets + flame turrets + psi disruptors on all 4 destinations of attacks. Plus a couple of anything else + usual marines for Kerigan, but honestly for 80% when she comes even they don't work like these. Plus my own - when you have some time window - upgrades and even more flame/rocket turrets....then even more lol. especially near artifact. I mean everywhere in your base. Free resource and free or too many SCV (you need twice at once or 2 CC) - build some turrets. Then make some science vessels on rest of money. Do everything QUICK.
Oh, and using artifact each time she comes... Lefifan died cause he constantly going back and forth and I had limit with vikings lol, so when I beat Kerigan at 80% and used artifact he was already like 500hp So it also helps. Don't kill him right away.
Also when it like 90% leave all alone, all defense and bring it back to artifact - all vikings, all siege tanks, all marines from bunkers, all SCV's (!!!). Then even fly with ALL buildings and try to close entrances to artifact platform, I was able (when replayed though last save AFTER beating campaign just for fun) to close and Kerigan was not able to even come close lol
Tors/battlecruisers/maradeurs/goliath/aspids/vultures/gelions/wraith and even medivacs sucks there. You can build Gercules though and transport marines right into Kerigan appereance if you are not quick to handle with her out of base.
