So yeah I’ll take that. Arsenal won the FA Cup under Arteta and the criticism was that it was only the FA Cup and they weren’t challenge for the big honours. If Arteta next season said fuck the league and Europe, we need a trophy and 100% focused on the FA and League Cup, even if they won it you wouldn’t be saying it’s a great season would you? | ||

At least one source I've seen has claimed Wirtz was more convinced by Slot's sporting project than what Bayern presented to him and that's why he decided for Liverpool. | ||

It’s being disingenuous to claim after the fact that people predicted he would be this good, but he wouldn’t be a good squad player? He’s the one you let go? Conte’s playing him as that midfielder who makes late runs into the box and is a nuisance and a goal threat. Exactly how Scotland have in recent times and he’s excelled. Hell he’s filled in at centre back for the latter. Tbf Ten Haag at times did play to his strengths as a player, with decent results | ||

Tbf Ten Haag at times did play to his strengths as a player, with decent results yeah mctominay was a bit of a head scratcher at united. good physicality, good energy, can carry the ball decently and has a good strike. in midfield he can do everything but pass unfortunately, and for some reason united used him as a dm or part of a double pivot for years. only ten hag allowed mctominay to go forward more but ultimately mctominays inclusion in midfield for us as a starter wasnt going to solve our problems. id have kept him though, because he does bring energy and passion which the team sorely lacks | ||

Definitely above Liverpool. I get that you guys think he will win something major. I am just so sure that he wont. Also lack of injuries are what gave arsenal last two seasons chances to be top2 and they failed twice to win it. So injuries this season are no excuse | ||
