So yeah I’ll take that. Arsenal won the FA Cup under Arteta and the criticism was that it was only the FA Cup and they weren’t challenge for the big honours. If Arteta next season said fuck the league and Europe, we need a trophy and 100% focused on the FA and League Cup, even if they won it you wouldn’t be saying it’s a great season would you?

I have read that Wirtz family wasn't amused by Bayern's arrogance the past few weeks where they acted like Wirtz only has Bayern as a club to go to. Now they might have just lost the most precious gem of German football That'd be awesome! Under normal circumstances I'd have said City would be best suited but Pep does strange things these days so Liverpool seems like an awesome choice. Real is loaded anyway and Bayern is the direct counter to Bayer the last two season and I guess he doesn't wanna have that on his conscience

At least one source I've seen has claimed Wirtz was more convinced by Slot's sporting project than what Bayern presented to him and that's why he decided for Liverpool.

We are in the spot of we win the least It depends on your baseline to begin with, and wages are frequently neglected in such discussions and they’re actually a better predictor of outcome than transfer spend anyway. It took Klopp and Liverpool’s recruitment team time to build a side capable of challenging at the top. People forget sometimes that Pep was coming into a setup that had won multiple leagues and cups already. I think you’re unduly harsh on Arteta and the board, they’re there or thereabouts. The platform is there now, I think the question is now can they do it in the near future now that’s built? If not, then sure he may have run out of road. I think they were reasonably well set-up this season, injuries derailed their Prem campaign, but they stepped up a level in Europe at the same time.

It’s being disingenuous to claim after the fact that people predicted he would be this good, but he wouldn’t be a good squad player? He’s the one you let go? Conte’s playing him as that midfielder who makes late runs into the box and is a nuisance and a goal threat. Exactly how Scotland have in recent times and he’s excelled. Hell he’s filled in at centre back for the latter. Tbf Ten Haag at times did play to his strengths as a player, with decent results

Definitely above Liverpool. I get that you guys think he will win something major. I am just so sure that he wont. Also lack of injuries are what gave arsenal last two seasons chances to be top2 and they failed twice to win it. So injuries this season are no excuse

Not a subtle playmaker type but pretty good at arriving late in the box and as an aerial attacking threat. But pigeonholed as more of a defensive player than he actually is by some I mean I don’t think he’d carry this United side to glory but he’s got some quality, he was super committed, versatile and it’s not like they got big money for selling him either
