i think after a handful of games it's clear that rashford simply has no role in amorim's system - zero workrate to work as a wide player, not technical enough to play behind the striker and doesn't have the strength to work as the lone striker.

We've beaten Liverpool, given City and Arsenal free wins.
We're trying to make the title race competitive lol.

If yall beat us at Nottingham but we win the league, we'll just give you the EPL.

Sporting is losing again toninght..still some time but the game looks bad....apart from a cup game against a lower division team, i think sporting is at 0-1-2 or maybe even 3 losses now since Amorim left.

I was not expecting such a cliff fall.

I'm still sad, this could have been of the best sesasons in Sporting history. I wish Amorin would have waited to next season to leave to United

Serie A is pretty close so far. 6 teams are realistically in the title race at this stage and they've all taken points off each other.

Moise Kean is actually scoring goals for Fiorentina, Atalanta on a 9 game win streak with their new Argentine striker, Juventus are 6th despite being undefeated.

On my stats source the last two games Sporting has got some 4 xG scored 1 whereas opponents have combined 0.70 and got 3. Based on that I don't think they're playing terrible. Probably still some sort on unease in there, but doesn't look like a total collapse yet at least.

Terrible day for United fans.

Not only did they give us a free win with some absolutely shocking defending, but the trains back to London are all delayed cos of weather too.

Stats wise United was still alright it seems. Not great by any means, but it's always going to be rough if you allow 2 goals through slapstick comedy mistakes and top it off by one more from a random corner.

Heh, I thought director of football was supposed to bring stability & planning over managerial transitions and such. I guess they can alternate between manager and DoF sackings to create some continuity.

Kinda terrible for the organization though, I think. DoF picks a manager and then leaves, sounds a bit similar like giving a manager a big transfer window and then sacking them right after.

Crazy times for Yanited don't stop, Amorim is also feeling the pressure already as he is hating all the limelight and media attention they get, he doesn't want to be in front of the cameras all the time, he wants to work, but unfortunately, at a massive club like that, the world is watching you and wants there pound of flesh!

It was never going to be an easy job for him, but im sure he will do it if he can handle the media, he is a smart guy and has a bright future in the managerial world.

Dan Ashworth thing is utterly wild, they spent so much to get him, Newcastle defended him all the way through and he goes without even doing anything lol.

Feels like it has to be either personal reasons or some sort of disconnect culminating in disagreement on sacking Ten Hag and hiring Amorim.

Is there a team in the Prem with a bigger gap between their best and worst level than Spurs?

Truly bizarre, but then again I guess we’re not privy to stuff behind the scenes.

Man Chelsea versus Spurs was some match. It’s nice to see a talent like Sancho showing what he can do outside the talent vortex that is Man United.

Not his absolute best game but my god Cole Palmer is some fucking player. Between technical ability, consistent output and a seemingly bulletproof mentality

I genuinely struggle to place many English footballers above him in my entire time watching the game. Rooney for sure but I think over time we didn’t see the best of him. A career most would have killed for but I think if he’d played his peak years as the main man in another team rather than a foil for a player as unbelievable as Ronaldo, individually you’d have seen even more, although his trophy cabinet would have suffered.

Curious what others here think, especially those not from these shores but I think Palmer’s got a good case to be the best 10 in the world over the last 18 months or so.

Also lmao my previous post was when Spurs were 2-0 up and absolutely battering Chelsea before I had to go to work, which kind of further proved my point. Usually they bounce between great and poor between matches, this was within one.

I'd probably put Palmer as guaranteed top 3 CAM in the world, and a great argument to be the best. I'd have Bellingham behind him right now since he's been slipping a bit.
