This is great, all leagues should have this! Hope our peasant league will adopt to this too now and not in 3-4 years.

Southgate resigning might be a brilliant decision by him, imo. He will be remembered by the results which are excellent without knowing the circumstances, although no one will remember a single good game he ever managed for the team, lol

Transfer rumor mill going into overdrive already! Most juicy ones are actually managers right now: - Kloppo to USMNT - Pep(po) to replace Southgate

@pande any updates from Chelsea about Enzo Fernandez? Chelsea have something like 7 French players and I can't imagine those players just letting this slide.
It's even becoming a diplomatic incident as per The Independent
Argentina’s Vice President Victoria Villarruel defended Fernandez and the team, however, saying she would not tolerate the actions of a “colonialist” country.
“No colonialist country is going to intimidate us for a song on the pitch or for telling the truths they don’t want to admit,” Villarruel posted on her account on X.
“Argentina is a sovereign and free country. We never had colonies or second-class citizens. We have never imposed our way of life on anyone."
Later on Wednesday, the Office of Argentina President Javier Milei said the country’s undersecretary for sports, Julio Garro, had been removed from his position for suggesting that Argentina captain Messi apologise for the chants.
“The Office of the President informs that no government can tell what to comment, what to think or what to do to the Argentine National Team, World Champion and twice champion of America, or to any other citizen,” the presidential office wrote in a post on X.

Well enzo is in trouble with a big F.
EPL doesnt treat these lightly and his club has already said they will use him as an exemple for education.
If he continues to play in chelsea/epl (big if) his life wont be easy as fofana and co already expressed publicly their anger towards the vídeo.
I wouldnt put him on a fantasy team as im not seeing him playing there soon.

Yeah, I don't see Pep taking a job managing England. That's wishful thinking by the brits imho.

That settles the Falklands debate then!

Haha, that statement is beyond dumb. Where are the indigenous Patagonians, or all the black people that used to live in Argentina 2 centuries ago? I guess these people have mastered doublethinking to the degree that they're proud of their white heritage but also hate colonists.
Pep to any NT seems pretty unthinkable. And Klopp already turned down the USMNT, that position seems still very open

Klopp already turned down the offer, said hes gonna take his full year off and see where he stands after that. Dont think the USMNT wants a coach with only 1 year with the squad before the 2026 WC.

As per the meat of the matter, for fuck sake. Why double down on it? Well I mean we know why, but to put it lightly, it’s not cool.
Why are the Argentine team even thinking about France in such a moment anyway?

’Rodri, whose full name is Rodrigo Hernandez, was seen chanting "Gibraltar is Spanish" along with right-winger Lamine Yamal as they got on the stage in front of the crowds.’ Man it’s pretty rare to see one of such tender years of such a politicial leaning! Almost as notable as his precocious political talent!
In all seriousness, disappointing stuff. And quite confusing stuff as well, given how some Spaniards in these squads well, aren’t 100% Spaniards. Be they Catalans or Basques, it seems odd to have either a dual identity, or for some a completely separate national identity but yet be calling for Spain to extend its territory.
I’m unsure what the reporting is like Europe-wide, I’ve seen a few mentions in passing but little in-depth stuff. To me there are worrying signs of football as a vehicle for jingoistic nationalism in recent tournaments. Not just in the stands, but players buying into it and leading it too.
At the same time, France had prominent players use their platform and speak very well with it when it came to their recent election
