His touches and weight of passing are just crazy good and especially because of his age. Love watching him play but he far from finished article yet, think our formation is perfect for him as well to play in one of those front 3 roles.

He stayed with Spurs a long time. If it becomes a pattern I would think about it being a problem. But who knows why he want to leave, maybe his family hates it there or there are problems inside the club.
I've read a press describing internal differences between Poch and Leonardo and this in one of the main reasons why argentinian wants to leave, plus rumors are saying Poch is wanted in RMA, but this could be a risky move all things considered -.-

Weird that Havertz is a pretty atypical 10/inside forward. When Kaka was at his pomp there was talk that he was a blueprint for what a modern 10 should be. Technically good but also a physical specimen.
Luckily for the good of the game things didn’t quite develop as the mid 2000s seemed to hint at (Rafa/Mourinho duels and Valdano’s infamous ‘shit on a stick’ spring to mind), there’s still plenty of space for the little guy.

The fkn merry go round continues!!
Moyes back to Everton? Nuno to Palace?
Spurs still waiting for a manager
No one wants Conte?!

The age of Atlético Madrid?

Conte probably knows his value. It's pretty rare that you've got a reigning champion available in the managerial market.

Things that stand out: - 2 injured players (Maguire, Henderson) - 4 right backs lol - only 5 midfielders, although you could argue this is only for 2 holding positions

Reaction to this squad, least on social media is absolutely fucking bizarre to me.
There’s a few debatables but you’d think Southgate was picking a squad for a World Cup and leaving a Messi/Ronaldo home. Based on where England’s strengths currently lie, it’s a great squad IMO, feels very considered.
The real question marks are the actual teams he picks and how they gel and how they hold up energy wise. Unlike previous generations there doesn’t feel some maverick squad candidate who could have been an option B that’s a glaring omission.
England are well placed with the full back numbers they have to play a back 4 or a 3, given James and Trippier and Walker have all played right centre back in the past. Trippier especially is good enough at set pieces to leave James Ward Prowse home, who can count himself a little unfortunate and would have had that weapon, but you probably don’t want to be bringing people mostly for set piece prowess.
He seems quite fond of the double pivot but I wonder against worse teams if he can get away with playing a flatter midfield three. I think Mount and Henderson (if fully fit) can cause more issues if you’re leaving just Rice to screen.
A big shout is who plays right back and the two positions either side of Kane. Especially the latter, Foden and Sancho have had much better ends to the season than Rashford and Sterling.
Things like who the backup strikers are in the squad I’m not sure matter all that much. Realistically if Kane is injured England’s chances drop significantly.

How often do you sub a right back. Feel like something Pep would do. Either turning them into holding midfielders or centerbacks
