I understand the goal , but it just caused a situation where the very top teams actually have more advantage then the rest of the field , but i would agree that it makes the midfield tighter. TLDR - removing the Q2 + tier choice is a good decision.

Embarrassing to say the least, what it has come Let’s hope crashmilton doesn t give us another show as he did at Silverstone Meanwhile, Norris keeping it real, and Ricciardo fighting to stay afloat in p11 ; seems like a bad track for my team - honestly august is never a good month with always so few races; not even gonna watch Hungary race with my friend as I do as usual; it’s gonna be a long break, but then back to back Belgium, zandvoort, and Monza! Something to look forward to; For me the top of the season will be when Norris wins his first race, he’s been vibing all year, and McLaren being best of the rest is bound to happen Perez also enforcing the Red Bull curse of not being able to have 2 drivers at any rate on the same lap times (1 second consistant in quali) even though Perez is not a quali driver like Leclerc, who consistently is surprising; Russell is the most disciplined 21 year old I ever saw, must be constantly frustrating, I really hope Williams scores 3 points this year (image if latifi would score the first point, troll face) All in all, seems like a more emotional season than last year - forza McLaren!

Great to see McLaren on the road back this year isn't it! Seidl has been amazing for them. As for Red Bull missing out with Checo, that was their fuck up, Hamilton did his outlap at the same speed he did all qualifying. Edit: That has to be the end of Bottas at Merc, what a tit.

"So Lewis, how did you win your 8th championship?" "We just kept crashing out our opponents, easy peasy" edit: And they collected Norris too, just to piss me off a bit extra

This crash is gonna make all the conspiracy theory stuff way worse. Neither Red Bull did anything wrong and now one's out of the race and the other's trashed. Hamilton's perpetual good luck just never ends.

Did he forget that red flag repairs are how Hamilton's managed to salvage enough points to still be in the championship. This crash is gonna make all the conspiracy theory stuff way worse. You can't change parts, you can only fix the parts that are on it. Remember Hamilton didn't change his front wing in Silverstone, they taped up the damaged parts instead

Remember Hamilton didn't change his front wing in Silverstone, they taped up the damaged parts instead I was under the impression you can change like for like parts (which is what I believe Nico said also). It's not feasible to change the floor in the pitlane, which is why Verstappen still has his bad floor. Mercedes had some reason for not changing Hamilton's front wing. They changed his front wing during the red flag in Imola when he crashed and smashed it up, and that's a big part of why he ended up on the podium since he avoided an extra long pitstop. edit: just saw someone mention on Twitter that Ocon has now officially lead more laps this year than Bottas.

Next year's rules can't come soon enough. Alonso with the triple-wide car. This will slow Hamilton down at least temporarily. edit: It's so great that Alonso's back and in a decent car. Hamilton keeps trying moves that many drivers would let him get away with but Alonso's having none of it. Hamilton tried diving past him around one corner and Alonso basically seemed prepared to drive him off the road. This has to be wrecking Hamilton's tires.

Hamilton seemed pissed off that someone was actually fighting back. edit: Latifi's gonna outscore George Russell.

If only Gasly or Perez was on the podium instead of Hamilton, we could have had another redemption arc podium of fired drivers. Gutted for Vettel though, if it wasn't for that bad pitstop it probably would have been a win for him. edit: 5 place grid penalty for Bottas for the next race. Considering the severity of the incident, that's pretty lenient.
