I don't think RBR developed their car specifically for Max but I think they were blindsided by the fact he was still able to get everything out of it while his teammates struggled to do the same, before eventually Max started to struggle as well. Same as what Alonso once said about being able do drive around a problem and that that can be problematic because it hides the problem for the engineers. A Red Bull mechanic said that a car never really is developed for a specific driver but that they just try to make it as fast as possible and that that can result in a car that is more difficult to drive and have a smaller setup window. But there probably is a slight bias to the input of the first driver I'd imagine. I would assume Red Bull have learned from their mistake and McLaren would have as well but what happens if McLaren brings an update and Max is able to make it work but Lando isn't, would they revert the update? It's tricky, this stuff. | ||
