because he can space the floor more than Derozan he could become a better play maker than DD. As long as he has decent players around him and a proper offensive gameplan look for Wiggins to average 4 assists a game in 3 years time.

Players: Listen, I got one thing in this world and that's complaining about calls after the game. NBA: But I thought you wanted us to be more transparent in our officiating? Players: Yeah, well I liked complaining about it more than I liked you telling us about it.

Players are just trying to suck up to the refs. The 2 minute reports are below the minimum of what the NBA should be doing.

I support anything that helps us learn and get better calls. I don't support anything that's just there to assuage players' feelings, which this report seems to be.

I don't support anything that's just there to assuage players' feelings, which this report seems to be. Its there for the fans(gamblers), not the players. The players are just incidental. Getting better calls requires firing 90% of the referees and implementing better physical testing, which the union will not stand for. The media will then inevitably be on the refs' side like in the NFL dispute, calling out all the minor errors "replacement refs" make during the first couple seasons where they are getting up to speed. At worst the 2 min review sets up the league to give an "objective" way of defending replacement refs in the case of a possible strike. On December 29 2016 10:10 JimmiC wrote: I honestly don't get the premise. What about all the fuckups in the first 46 mins? And why make it public? If anything they should do a private 48 min review and show the refs so they can improve or something. This seems just like a publicity stunt from the league to say "look we hold them responsible" without holding any one responsible. That being said I also think it's just smart gamesmanship from the players standing up for the refs, could mean a few calls going their way! Yes they need to do larger reviews, but 2 minutes does limit the manpower needed. The problem still lies with lack of standardization, so these last 2 min reports are actually wrong. A good example is the Draymond Green suspension/retroactive techs in last years finals. In an objective sense, they were the correct choice, in the context of the way that game (and frankly that whole series) was called, I'm not so sure that what Green did wasn't borderline normal.

Still the average ref is retiring about 10-15 years too late, and the NBA's lack of real penalties for flopping makes their jobs much harder than it should be just on the simple calling of fouls part.
