i never said Wiggins was good. right now, this second, he is a below average NBA starter. a lot of my comments have been very "wordy" i'll attach some #s to my comments.

judging NBA players on a scale of 0 to 10 where:

10 - the best player in the NBA.

8 - barely good enough to make a conference all star team based on merit and not on popularity or nostalgia.

5 - the 75th best starter in the NBA.
0 - the worst player in the NBA.

right now, Wiggins is a 4/10.

The chance of Wiggins becoming an NBA superstar is almost zero. The chance Wiggins does not improve beyond age 22 is also almost zero. I think Wiggins will develop into a player that lands somewhere between a 7/10 and 8/10 on my informal rating scale.

Regarding developing players i've discussed Demar Derozan a lot as a point of comparison. WHen DDR was 21 he was a 4.5/10 player. At age, 27 Derozan is now a 7.5/10 player. Each year DDR gains about 0.5 on my scale due to his gradual improvement.

Does Wiggins have the work ethic to travel the long road of gradual improvement Derozan has? no idea; people who watch Minnesota and Wiggins much more closely than i do are far better at answering this question.

You have not yet said what you would get in trade for him. But I think that's because you just like to say shit (mostly dumb shit) with authority and good people believe you.

I dunno, I see a lot of a guy like Corey maggette in Wiggins. Maybe that's harsh but we'll see.

Plenty of teams would take a flyer on him but I'm not sure you get an all star type player for Wiggins in a trade. I think your best hope is a solid vet and a high first rounder.

He does have good height. He is supposed to be athletic. Unfortunately, his rebounding is behind Steph Curry and Chris Paul. He just doesn't know how to do anything besides score. Normally, promising players learning the NBA game are still able to generate rebounds, steals and blocks even when their field goal efficiency and assist rates are pretty low their first few years.

No one cares about athletic players that cant leverage it to an advantage. Anthony Randolph is out of the league despite looking like a monster every summer league.

Potential is only worth it if it is being realized. If Wiggins isnt even able to gobble up "popcorn" stats on a consistent basis its time to cut bait and let him develop elsewhere. That's probably good for both parties.

Harden was rocking historically good TS% in limited minutes while having absurd popcorn stats youd want from a guard with the exception of steals. I made the post on this very forum about how bad OKC fucked up not resigning him like 3 or 4 years ago before he went to Houston. The comparison versus Wiggins is laughable - he was galactically better than Wiggins at the same age. Its not even close. Maybe you should do the smart thing and conpare their basic per36 numbers and then put some context to it. I keep talking down to you because Im lazy and I don't feel like teaching shit that should be obvious if you're going to use stats.

Wiggins' advanced stats are very concerning. Yes he has had some good scoring games but he has been very inconsistent and his impact is pretty bad (especially on D). If anything his increase in raw stats is commensurate with an increasing USG%.

I think his floor is closer to a Jeff Green.

I can see your point about playing it out with his potential/hype but that's also a reason to trade him too. Minny still has a chance to cash in on his hype before teams cotton on that he's really nothing special.
