I'm defending the Pats competition because they're being stuck in a division with the most dominant team of the salary cap era. The pats are dominant, not invincible. I think the stat I pulled up was pretty good. It's not a hard stat, but Wild Card appearances indicate that the division is competing outside of the division winner.
