We can only blame ourselves for losing today. 2 missed field goals, 2/5 on TDs on red zone trips. hard to win when you leave that many points on the field. Right on our red zone season average too. Kind of crazy how we're a top 5 offense between the 20s but just so terrible at the end of the field. Might cost us a playoff spot in the end losing us some winnable games

I was certainly positively surprised by the way he led the team. It's odd to think that the Colts might still take the conference considering the season they've had - but I'll never trust 2.nd half season Texans to do anything right.

obviously won't ever become a full-time starter but did well to demonstrate he can be an okay backup.

I guess if you really like scoring and no defense the BuTT bowl between Baylor and Texas Tech will satisfy you

Maybe RIP Nebraska as well. Horrible first half of play calling and execution. Hope they turn it around in the 2nd half.

Definitely going to be a lot of inward looking until the bowl season and even after. Armstrong probably shouldn't have played or the play calling should have changed. They shot themselves in the foot for sure. Huskers should hope to hire Orgeron or Herman in the next 2-3 years after Riley has had his chance.

also kind of funny there were "reports" that charlie strong's job might have been saved cause Texas didnt think they could get Herman. but all those reports are now saying losing as bad as he did tonight he's definitely getting fired tomorrow

That said, they lost only to the 3 best teams they faced, so the coach imo is exceeding expectations. But you don't lose 62-3 and 40-10. Those are beatings. I agree, from last year they have definitely made an improvement but this is not acceptable at that university. I was there during the Callahan years. That fan base is extremely patient but they need a return to relevance. We're now outside of the Top 25 and won't be ranked come the start of next year. Iowa was a winnable game and so was Wisconsin. There needs to be some soul searching with the younger guys coming up and they need to decide the direction of this program. Riley has at best 3 years left. He needs to compete for a B1G championship next year.
