BVB's defense is still as bad as last year's, which costs them too much. Not if bvb wins vs bayern next playday (is in munich) :D There never was a race. Bayern has a 90+pts roster. A bad season should still see them get 75+ pts. Other teams cannot reach that. Bayern were lucky against Hoffenheim and Augsburg, they could have easily dropped points in these games. The difference is they didn't. I think we agree : ) Bayern plays in another league. We could've thought: Well important players will be too old/gone one day and they might have a problem but in reality nothing happened. Ribery, Robben, Kroos, Schweinsteiger... all gone or injured and Bayern at worst has a problem to win every 5th to 10th game. That's insane. Roster quality, finances, reputation are all world class.

Every major European league is like this. To pretend that the other leagues haven't had years where their title was decided early is willful ignorance. Hell, England is having it's first real title race in quite a while and it's not like Spain's league is ever interesting.
Bayern were lucky against Hoffenheim and Augsburg, they could have easily dropped points in these games. The difference is they didn't.
Yea, that's the problem. BVB might be able to make up some ground in the two games they face Bayern (although it's not likely), but Bayern has the extra depth and the extra quality where they won't drop points as often as BVB does, if at all. They're just that good.
BVB could theoretically go undefeated for the season and I doubt they'd win the title. They'll end up with too many draws due to a bad defense.

Germany is the only big league where it's legitimately a 1 horse race before the league starts. And it has only been that way for the past three years - dortmund won with 8 points in 2011-12. And nothing is permanent.
over the past decade, in terms of title challenging teams, Spain has had two with an occasional third, England three with an occasional fourth. Those are actually very different from 1 virtually predetermined winner.

Spain is tons more exciting than Bundesliga. Since Bayern bought Götze and Lewa they officially killed BuLi, good job Bayern
What Klopp did with BVB should have been impossible if you think about it. Defeating Bayern two seasons in a row wth

And Bayern have become a lot stronger during the last decade, which can be seen in their CL results. The Bayern of 2002-2010 would be no match for current Dortmund.

Villarreal is first in Spain xDDDD

Bayern/Barca/Real have established themselves as massive brands to the extent they'll never drop off for a more than a couple years imo. When Barcelona started to show some cracks they bought Neymar and then Suarez and bam, back on top. Football's so top heavy now..

8 wins in 8 matches for my team
only 7 matchesl left, 5 points distance with the second (next week its the match against them)

It's always been this way. Just look at the history of most leagues; there is a dominant team(s) that has won the majority of championships, with their run being periodically broken up by random other teams. The gap between the big clubs and the rest has just gotten bigger in the past 7-8 years.

Yep, coz TV and Asia (and to some degree recently America) the teams best positioned to profit off the game exploding in high population areas with lots of money to spend are the ones you are seeing pulling away. Its the same as an industry really if you think about it.

In Spain It was the same before Cruyff revolution. In 1990 the team had 10 leagues only (Madrid had 25). Since 1990 Cruyff the difference is reduced to 32 - 23. Maybe without Cruyff in barsa history, Atlético would had more leagues than Barcelona xD

Yeah theyve been planning that for a while, he paid all his backtaxes + interest similar to Messi, but they were going to charge him anyway so it was kinda expected. From what I hear the capital will do pretty much everything can to fuck with Catalonia with all the independence talk heating up. It seems rather counter intuitive.
These cases with Messi Neymar and even Masch now havent been the first instances of this happening, lots of players end up owing taxes they should have paid but they just pay it later + a fine. I know companies that have had to do that aswell when the IRS audits them in the US. Pushing it to legal proceedings is normally strong arming to get more money.

Yeh Barca pretty fucked soon. Spain saying they will not get a referendum and they will never leave Spain. They had their own referendum and they voted big and have majority seats in the parliament. Spain says will appeal to people to stop them going independent.
Makes me laugh how these cities think they can go independent that easily, making their own army etcetc. Where is the money going to come from to do this? xD

But the central government in Madrid has vowed to block any declaration in court because it would breach the Spanish constitution.
Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy has opposed attempts to hold a referendum on secession and has labelled the breakaway plan "a nonsense".
One compromise could be the implementation of a more favourable tax regime and laws that better protect language and culture, which could calm Catalan discontent.

Pande your post is a complete brainfart and Catalonia is not a city lol, should stick to talking about footie instead of stuff you have no idea about
Anyway footie thread is not the right one to talk about politics.

You're just showing off your ignorance. Catalonia is one of the wealthiest region in Spain and is actually in a position where it doesn't profit at all from the central government.
