Decent game between Watford and Palace. Jurado almost made it 1-0 with a fantastic free-kick.

BVB's defense is still as bad as last year's, which costs them too much.

Oh and i hope Bayern won't kick our asses to badly. 4 points behind now, about to be 7 next week and we know who is winning this season

Darmstadt needs 3 chances for 2 goals, if Dortmund had that converion rate then we would have scored 100 already. Any team in our position possession-wise will waste chances. There is a clear offensive strategy and efficiency that we lacked last year. Ginter is looking fantastic at RB and Mhki/Aubameyang/Reus/Kagawa are all doing very well. The fault with the team lies 100% with the defense. It's still just awful and at this point, particularly in set pieces/corners, and I don't see Bürki as a meaningful upgrade from Weidenfeller or Langerak.

Of course its not bad but a better conversion rate might help balance the bad defense. I agree on Bürki, he is about the same level. He looked like a god last year because he had so many opportunities to do show good deflections. But this year he has way less shots to clear and he isnt even doing that convincingly (he deflects the ball right to the middle of the box wayyyyyy to often). I think BVB defense has huge trouble with fast strikers, which is perfect since its only Douglas Costa coming next week edit: i know all this is whining by me over stupid stuff really. We have won 11 of 13 games and are still unbeaten. We score a shitton and our game has improved a lot and looks deadly in the offensive. Tuchel has done a grear job. But if it all looks pretty good then weak points like the defense are even more annoying and loosing points vs teams that only build a wall around their box and then play kick and rush is so sad

I think BVB defense has huge trouble with fast strikers, which is perfect since its only Douglas Costa coming next week A better conversion rate would mask the woeful defense, but I'd rather they just fix the defense. It's just too slow and the positioning is consistently terrible, leaving them vulnerable to counter-attacks and crazy bounces during set-pieces. Bürki hasn't looked bad at any point so far, but he hasn't looked good, either. He hasn't made any spectacular saves or made a different for BVB so far in the season. He's just been "there", like any competent keeper should be. I guess this is a step-up from Weidenfeller, who consistently makes clear mistakes that result in goals (including this season in the EL), and if you have a solid keeper, then you can just focus on making the defense better, but it would be nice to have a difference-making keeper behind the defense to pick up some slack.

True he has not been a game winner. However even though he has done his job, i think he has to improve in deflection the ball to the side instead of the middle. If he cant catch it he often deflects it to the middle. We were lucky enough that no striker could use a chance like that yes but this can backfire hard

Our defense can't play a solid game. They are world class or absolute bullshit. Reus has no connection to the team and destroys the balance. + Show Spoiler + Ref team ..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Well that's the problem of being a team in germany. Unless you are Bayern Munich, every ref team will make sure you either end up even or behind on split decision. Just looking at the fact that Hertha BSC Berlin had like 3 clear penalties denied while they give Bayern that one vs Augsburg is pretty funny. Also, Guardiola vs referees and other coaches vs referees

The difference is they didn't.
