That wasn't in the order i was just saying those are the top 5 players in the world to me :D 5 seasons in a row 25 goals or more, 13-14 first time below 30 goals in a season since 2010 etc. 104 goals in 138 games for Napoli is an insane record :3 64 in 106 atm for PSG Why is it only me who likes him ![]() to me PSG should be one of the teams that allow for highest scoring average. league is not that great, but they are a world class team. I mean yeah wow 5 seasons in a row 25 goals, ronaldo has 5 seasons in a row with 50. ![]() of course he's good and all, and honestly I dunno who I'd go for as #5 (whereas imo 1-4, going by the 'best player is the one who contributes to most goals' metric, is a lock).

Ligue 1 teams seem to focus on defence, the goals per game average tends to be lower than in other top leagues. I would not say it's easier to score goals in France just because the quality is a tad lower.

But yeah overall I do kinda agree that my statement was hollow and sorta meaningless because overall quality of league doesn't say much about defensive ability/defensie focus. I really question Ligue 1 teams being above PL teams though, Rosenborg just played 2-2 away vs St.Etienne and was the better team - they got 5th last season, are #2 this season.. Obviously one game is just an anecdote and I've been speaking warmly of Rosenborg as of late, but based on that one game, St.Etienne would have a very hard time fighting relegation. PSG is obviously world class, but they are also unquestionably the best Ligue 1 team. (15-2-0 in their last 17 games, to cherrypick nicely! )

Crystal Palace has a lot of really entertaining offensive players.

(Full time: Palace win 2-0. Bolasie headed in a Cabaye cross to take the lead, and Cabaye drilled home a penalty after Brunt cut down Zaha in the box.)

That's the funniest freekick I've ever seen. Inside post, bounces on the goalkeepers back back on the post, then rolls along the goal line.

And quite surprisingly, Sunderland are winning 2-0 home against West Ham.
