I was just about to post this. fucking hysterical

I'm just confused. Was he expecting the other team to rush to his aid or something?
|
According to the explanation his job was 'not to go past the line of scrimmage' =)

The best part is when the guy on the other team crushes him anyway.

Welp, there goes AP. It's possible he comes back after the Oct. 8th court date, but yeah.

Flippity, floppity, flippity floppity,...
Wonder how many people were able (or got duped into) to get a trade off while he was active?

[–]peckx063 1 point an hour ago So, for those wondering if they should drop Peterson or not: Peterson has been put on the Exempt/Commissioner's Permission list. What this means is that Peterson will be away from the team until this case is resolved. So, how long will it take to resolve this case? He has an arraignment set for October 8th. This will be when he enters a plea of Guilty/Not Guilty/No Contest. It's very unlikely that he pleads Guilty or No Contest to either Reckless or Negligent Injury to a Child charges. Reckless carries a minimum 2 year prison sentence. Negligent would be a minimum 180 days. Either of these cases means no AP in fantasy football 2014. If he pleads Not Guilty, he'll go to trial. Any trial has virtually 0% chance of being resolved in 2014, and a guilty verdict would lead to the same prison sentences. The best scenario for fantasy owners (and probably the most likely), however, is that between now and the October 8th arraignment, AP's lawyers are able to strike a deal for him to plead guilty to a lesser offense, maybe something like a Domestic Assault Class A Misdemeanor. He'd then seek to get probation and entry into a counseling/diversion program and avoid jail time. Although his legal issues would be resolved and he could be removed from the Exemption list, this would still be a conviction against the NFL's new domestic violence policy and he would still be facing a mandatory 6 game suspension that could potentially be longer since the act was in the presence of a child. The obvious question at this juncture would then become whether or not the games he has already missed can count towards a suspension. If so, he could be back playing in week 8 in a best case scenario. If I had Adrian Peterson, I'd honestly hold on to him until his arraignment and see if a plea deal goes down. You're only holding him for 3 Sundays which are all still in front of most of the byes.

Yo the TL league is hardcore, people be camping on waiver. Everybody remotely worth owning in a 12 team league got picked off this morning.
|
my bench is running a little thin on team suspension

I love how competitive this league is

The gov of minnesota had to come out and say that they needed to keep the guy off the field before they did it.
This was my 6k post. Worth.

hows everybody doing for points scored so far? Im at 210 (12 team league) and Ive lucked into 5 or 6 correct lineup decisions so far, no way that holds up. My decision now is whether to start terrance williams/lamar miller/ brandin cooks in my flex spot
also I really want AP back, i think its hurting c. pattersons value..

Well, in the TL league, he was picked up. There are plenty of people who think that it'll turn into an RBBC.
All that being said, I will start Doug Martin in the Thursday night game. (I do not own Rainey.)

i think it will be a rbbc, and a shitty one at that
the only things worth much in that offense are the wrs imo

the only things worth much in that offense are the wrs imo I'm going into the other camp. I think that Martin might be injury prone (jury out on that one) and Rainey got some nice play last year. I had him in a 16 team league I was in with very deep benches and he was serviceable when I had him. I like the guy. Obviously depends on how deep the league is and what your situation looks like.
Hawk, any word on that Wheaton/Stewart trade? Interested in a follow up.

So I generally prefer not to discuss my views with people I'm in a league with but I went back and watched Rainey's "highlights" from last year. Let's just say that there was a reason why he was cut from the Browns mid-season.
Now maybe Rainey's improvement is real or maybe Martin can't bounce back. We'll have a better sense after tomorrow night.

Jonathan Dwyer arrested for domestic violence. If this happened after the Rice ruling came down the pipeline, he's an absolute idiot.
Can we go back to talking about Manziel now?
