Nothing wrong with Jake Delhomme, and he never had a problem throwing the ball to Steve Smith over and over. Outside of two years, Delhomme was garbage. I guess we have different opinions on what defines garbage then. I thought he was fine every year in Carolina (except his last one, obviously).

Outside of his two genuinely good years in 04 and 05, he was a borderline starter. There's a very large gap in talent between him and Cam. It's pretty easy to think that Smith would have had even better stats in his peak years if he had a better qb

Well I don't think anyone is going to argue that haha
It's pretty easy to think that Smith would have had even better stats in his peak years if he had a better qb I was just saying originally that Steve Smith already had great numbers with Delhomme anyway and that Delhomme threw it to Smith over and over and over so it would be hard for his numbers to increase much more. I was not even close to meaning that Delhomme was equal to Cam. Better at commercials though imo :D

true enough haha
Brown left the game after getting hit hard, looks like he got his conkis bonked, my fantasy teams are sad

commenting on the rice thing we get.... "the darkest week in the history of the league" ? really? the worst PR fumble in the history of the league... maybe...
damn the NFL is in all out retreat mode now.

This makes 0 sense to me... Who was under the impression that anything else happened before the video?

in order to make sense of xDaunt's comment it helps to have watched this story evolve over the past few months and how the NFL manipulated its "media partners" into releasing passive aggressive bullshit comments about what happened in the elevator. It was your basic FUD attack and it worked. like "maybe she hit him 3 or 4 times first.." .. "maybe other things happened in the elevator we didn't see .. like she held a knife up to him.." that kind of crap.
ESPN's Steven A. Smith attempted to go down the "blame the victim" road .. saying we don't know what happened in the elevator.. and later was forced to apologize for it.
A few other "top NFL insider guys" did the similar things.
then once people saw the actual video frame by frame they realized all these comments by "top NFL insiders" were basic FUD attacks intended to smear the issue.
i really appreciate that Rogers SportsNet is letting me watch a bit of NFL Football between Activision/Bungie Destiny ads.

The CBS TNF theme is fucking annoying.

Man I was sucked in by the Forsett hype. Not going well.

It's no better for Peirce

Fair enough. Could have played Bell or something though and I jumped into the "Forsett will get the touches" hype.

between smith and keenan allen i thought torrey would be the lesser of the two evils (especially after flacco came out and said he was going to be a 100-catch guy this year) but here we are, one fantasy point later

Personally, before I saw the video inside the elevator, but after Goodell gave him only 2 games I had a brief period of time when I believed that 1. Goodell had seen a video of inside the elevator; and 2. It showed something that suggested the whole thing was closer to an accident/Rice not knowing his strength (something like him blocking, shoving, then Palmer slipping and hitting her head).
Under those circumstances I still would have felt that 2 games is a bit low because of the really disturbing "dragging the body", but at least you could understand it, and then understand why Goodell was so lenient. But if he never saw the tape, 2 games never made sense, and if he saw the tape we now know is real 2 games only makes sense if Ray Rice witnessed Goodell and Robert Kraft casually murdering people with Aaron Hernandez.

who would you start between Matt Ryan and Carson Palmer? Ryan was awesome last week, but has a tough matchup against the Bengals this week. Palmer was great as well, but he's been known to have rough games at times. This week he's playing the dumpster fire that is the Giants, so he could go off again.
|
I'm shoveling coal into the engine of the Carson Palmer hype train, but don't get too cute, play Ryan.
|
I got fucked last week being cute Ryan (among many other things). Just play him.
