When he gives harsh sentences, I say he's a despot who acts without evidence. Hawk is exactly right. It's the inconsistency, decisions are made without any sort of clear moral compass. The NFL doesn't need a moral compass. But if it insists upon being a distributor of justice, then it should at least follow some reasoning. As a business, I would be fine if it came out and said, we would rather suspend drug abusers for a longer stretch than batterers. But it won't. It stands for nothing while pretending to stand for integrity and honor. It calls it's logo "The Shield," for goodness sake. Either give up the moralizing facade or be moral. Otherwise, the institution is open to criticism. | ||
